I did not reach mine as well. However, I spent ALL day yesterday cleaning my kitchen. I rested very little and kept moving. I am proud of myself. I scrubbed, reorganized cabinets, got rid of the clutter! It was a MAJOR accomplishment. Today I am looking to see what other room I can make over!!!!

Ok so I did not make my goal. Had good intentions for last night but ended up at the hospital with one of the kids friends who came off his motorcycle. Nothing too serious but had 3 distraught teenage girls to console.
Well done to everyone for taking part in the challenge. I will be posting a new April Challenge today if nobody minds.

Well due to golfing on Saturday for 5 hours and then bowling for another 4 (we bowled 7 games!) I totally made my hours!
Wed: 30 min
Thur: 35 min
Fri: 30 min
Sat: 300 min (plus more)
Sun: 60 min
Mon: 0 so far but Mariner's game - which with my 6'2" long legged hubby and my 5'2" short legs, it is always an hour sprint to and from the car not including all the walking around the stadium!!

Sparkpeople says my fitness minutes are up to 1207 but I think they automatically give you 5 minutes for every single strength-training exercise you do, and at my count I am only at 1067 minutes.

Here's my minutes for the last few days.

3/26 - 50 minutes
3/27 - 30 minutes
3/28 - 67 minutes
3/29 - 70 minutes

I am back in this and also determined to reach my goal. Last night walk for 40min, water jogging for 35min and did 20min strength this morning and I am feeling great.

Okay, I have had a "senior" moment. I must have missed some postings, my fitness minutes for the month are at 1072, but I had about 800 and something on this thread. Who knows what I did!!! I have fixed it and am working on getting those last 428 minutes in!!!!! I have done 35 so far today and am hoping to get another 45 in before the day is over.

Jennijav, I am so jealous. Was Disney great?
I walked for 30min yesterday AND this is big I did proper strength training for the first time this morning. I always thought I only needed cardio but have decided to add a little strength, It felt really good

I have a dvd that I got a few years back. I would say rent a few from the library or movies place and try them. There is and a.m. and p.m. dvd and there are different degrees of difficulty and it is best to try before you buy. You can also find them cheap on ebay. I remember when I could not make it all the way through this dvd. But not any more! I think yogajournal.com may have info for you as well. I like dvds over classes because I can do it when I have time. Let me know what you find!!!

I'd like a simple morning or evening Yoga routine to add to my life. I used to do Tai Chi at the Y, but can't seem to make the classes any more, now that I'm working part time. (Stay at home mom for 19 years...now in the work force.) Can you recommend something? Where would I learn how to do this? Anne

Hi! I walked again today. Having a hard time shedding this cold, though. And my walk was broken up by the fact that one of the kids I'm supervising while I'm walking fell and really scraped his knee badly. I had to walk back to the car and apply first aid, scrub him down, and apply pressure for a good fifteen minutes before the blood would stop running down his leg. Then I got another round of the cemetery in, but my bladder was getting ready to pop, so I was done. About two miles today. Anne

Hi! I'm new today...might as well jump on the bandwagon. My name is Anne, and I'm a Girl Scout leader in Ohio. Also cubs and Venture Scouts. I think I have the basic idea here. I'm way behind, and didn't start exercising until yesterday! But I got in 90 minutes yesterday, and 60 today, both days all walking, and today in the rain. I must be nuts. But my daughter is in track, and they need parents to supervise while the kids condition in the city cemetery. So, a good opportunity. Looking forward to getting to know you all! Anne

I am not sure I understand the format for posting, so I'll just post how long I have exercised daily since 3/1:

3/1 - 70 minutes
3/2 - 45 minutes
3/3 - 55 minutes
3/4 - 75 minutes

Total so far for march - 245 minutes

My goal for March? I shoot for 30min per day or more, so how about 1000 minutes total for March!

No one can make you feel any particular way, good or bad........ unless you let them.

I think miles walked/jogged or minutes walkes/jogged. Everyone looses at a different pace and it is harder to control that. We can ALL control how much exercise we do!

There is always the usual 'pounds lose' challenge. Perhaps for those that do not concern themselves with the scale, we can do an 'inches lose' challenge. emoticon

I want to get to a healthy weight and stay there forever. I don't have to make huge changes all at once, just small ones consistently.
