Thanks all! I do really like the idea of Hocking Hills. I went there a few years back with a friend and her family. I will actually be up in that area this weekend for the Warrior Dash!

If you need the name of a nice place to stay in Hocking Hills send me a message. Stayed a bed and breakfast a couple years ago, but this family has several cabins that they also rent out and I really liked them. Have fun celebrating in the warmth of the summer.

Ooo, Hocking Hills is wonderful! Yes, like Beth, I have a January birthday and it sometimes is hard to get people to do much (I keep wanting to drag people out to the ski slopes...) I think ziplines and a cabin sounds great! I bet you could split the costs and get people in on that :)

If it doesn't have to be Cincinnati itself, Hocking Hills is great fun. Get a cabin, fix healthy food, go hiking on the trails, do the ziplines. Whatever you do have fun. My birthday is in January and no one ever wants to do anything. Happy early birthdya and continued success on your healthy journey.

With nice weather, parks are great! Either a large one like ault for some hiking/walking; or some that have tennis, biking, volleyball... And if you wanted food, cookouts are great - get some low-fat burgers (or veggie burgers), salads, toppings, fresh fruit and veggie trays, etc.

I suppose it depends what you like to do, and how many people there are. :) have fun, and happy 30th!!

I've gone canoeing with a large group down the Little Miami. It was a blast.

Hi all,

I have my 30th birthday coming up in August and I want to have a big event w/ all my friends. I also want to make it something active and not food-centric. Anyone have any ideas of things like that around Cincy? Thanks for the help!
