I am relatively new as well, but I have learned this: we are worth the effort to be healthier. It isn't nor should it be an all or nothing process. We are trying to unlearn many years (33 in my case) of bad habits and reteaching ourselves good habits. This wont happen overnight. It wont happen in a month, this will be a long process. But we are worth it.

We can focus on making some really good changes and add more as we go. If you try to make major changes to everything, it is less likely to stick. Make changes you can live with and forgive yourself if you have less than perfect meals, days or even weeks. Ultimately this isn't just about numbers on the scale (or the tape measure) it is about making our bodies healthier.

After losing "the last 10 pounds" and having to lose it again, I realized that tracking both my fitness and my food is my key to success. It may be yours too!

You can exceed what you think you can do.

I haven't lost much weight since I started on sparks. But have had weight gain and slip ups, the best advice I tell myself is that I'm eating healthy and exercising----therefore I am in much better healthier life style than beforee. I know how frustrating it is, but hang in there as you are worth it.

So I'm REALLY struggling right now to not give up on this journey. I've gained weight and inches even though I've been working my butt off at the gym and eating less and I'm on the edge about to jump off the wagon AGAIN. So I was wondering, to those of you who have lost weight successfully... "What were some of your setbacks when you first started your journey?"
