I just walked part of the bike trails tonight at Coon Rapids dam. I went down the east side, crossed the river and came back up the west side. Kind of fun.

If you ever fancy a trip to the southern metro, there is a path around Cleary Lake between Lakeville and Prior Lake. It's just over 3 miles around the lake. It can be kind of heavily used on a nice day, but it's a really pretty place :-)

If you ever want to ride a long distance across the cities, you can use cyclopath to get a route. It includes comments on the quality of the roads, shoulders, hills, etc so you can plot out your path.

Love the trails at Elm Creek myself.

This is an older thread, but I just have to put in another pitch for Elm Creek Park and that whole trail system which connects to Coon Rapids, Rice Lake, etc. I live in Elk River and ride there quite a bit, in fact, just for fun I decided to ride from Elk River to downtown Saint Paul. Once I connected to the trails in Elm Creek Park (about 11 miles from my house), I was able to stay on bike trails the entire way except for about one mile! Amazing! Anyhow, go check 'em out, you'll be glad you did, and happy riding!

"Jesus answered, 'The most important [commandment] is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength'" (Mark 12:29-30).

WOW! Good for you!! I hate being cold, but then again I hate being too hot as well. I think I see a problem here. :-)

I have an aunt that goes quite a bit in the summer so I may have to join her this year. We will have to find some bike buddies.

There are trails around Weaver Lake in Maple Grove. Plus should be able to get on the Elm Creek trail over there too. In Coon Rapids there are some great trails that leave out of the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park.

Anyone know of good bike trails in the area? Just got a bike for my birthday and am so excited I am already trying to figure out where to ride lol.

I live in the Maple Grove area so anything in the cities or not far for a quick Saturday or Sunday get away.
