I don't read much about fitness, but I'm going to change that starting now! Right now I'm reading a lot of the articles on the site. A LOT of great information here. I like the idea of something geared towards us though, so will be on the lookout for that!! :)

I just picked up this book from the Library it's titled: Champions Body-For-Life By the Body-for-life Champions & Challengers written by Art Carey.

It is a very good read...

I am currently reading and following the "The 3-Hour Diet: How Low-Carb Diets Make You Fat and Timing Makes You Thin" by Jorge Cruise.

It's basically about portion control and timing of meals: Eat breakfast within one hour of rising; Eat every three hours thereafter; and stop eating three hours before bedtime. Other than that the plan seems to be very similar to all the other books I have read.

My experience is that it has helped my energy levels, blood sugar levels, and also helped me to loose weight.

I try to eat 5 or 6 small meals per day, each meal averaging about 300 calories. The hardest thing is remembering to eat every 3 hours. I use the alarm on my cell phone to remind me.

Thanks for the book tip. There are so many books out there but most of them are not geared towards "US". I have never eaten cottage cheese in my life and I don't plan to start...

I am currently reading:

Weight Loss for African-American Women by: George Edmond Smith, M.D., M.Ed.

Metamorphosis is defined as a change of physical form or structure, a striking alteration in appearance, character, or circumstances.

My goal is to do just that. I have made a commitment to myself to finally change my APPEARENCE, to build my CHARACTER and to change my CIRCUMSTANCES for the better once and for all!
