I made a pot of my own soup...used Italian Style Tomato Sauce, Stewed Tomatoes with green chiles, frozen mixed veggies and beef broth...it is SO GOOD! I didn't think about the veggie broth. I will have to try that next time.

That's a good idea..I would replace the beef broth with some vegetable broth (it'll give it the same flavor really.........)

OK so I started my challenge today and thought how am I going to eat only fruits and veggies. Then another team posted a vegetable soup recipe and it hit me--SOUP! I am going to make a big pot of homemade vegetable soup and eat that for the next week. So my diet will consist of bananas and oranges for breakfast. Veggie soup for lunch and dinner. More fruit for dessert and snacks!

BTW, here is the recipe for all to enjoy:

In a crock pot I put water, some beef broth,a cut up onion, two chopped finely gloves of garlic, a cut up head of cabbage, a 32 oz package of frozen mixed vegetables(carrots,corn,peas,green beans,and lima beans), one can of stewed tomatoes, salt and pepper. About a half hour before it was done, I put in cauliflower and broccoli OMG it is so good! My house smells like I have been cooking all day... :)

I am going to add some beans too so I have protein but otherewise this has lots of delicious veggies.

I have a party to attend today and I've already eaten food so I cannot start today BUT 2/8-2/13 I will join the detox challenge! I will weigh myself tonight so I can see how this affects my weight too.

Fresh fruits, veggies and water.

I know you ladies want to slip into something super sexy for that man (or woman..hey..it's 2008! LOL) of yours...so GET IT INTO GEAR!!

I have a 1 week Valentine's Day DETOX challenge for everyone. For one week straight...eat nothing but raw or fresh fruit...fruit smoothies (with no added sugar) and water...or if you must steamed veggies. See how your body feels. I've been on detox going on 2 weeks now and I feel good.

I think I am down a pound or two but have yet to weigh myself.

So starting doay (2/7)...try and detox. Then on 2/14..most folks go out to eat for V day..so start out slowly........and work your way back to lean meats, fish, and proteins. Soy is a good start or salmon (I'm having Salmon on V-day.......YUM!)

Remember...Keep it
1) Fresh
2) Fresh Frozen
3) LOW FAT!!!
