Good morning ladies. So today is the day we leave for Ottawa. I'm so excited. It's been 4 years so it's long overdue. I'm also a little nervous as I tried the dress on with my new shoes and I can't get it done up now. I've been saying to hubby I feel bloated!! Dear lord if that's all it takes I'm doomed!! So I'll have to be extra careful of what I eat on vacation. I'll be sure to workout everyday and I'll look for spanx while we shop.
Well gotta go. The girl got to go get her report card today. My god she is going to grade 8 in September. Time needs to slow the heck down.

Spark on my lovelys

I was out in the rain with the pooch today.. He really dislikes the rain. I donít mind it if itís not that sideways pouring stuff. That just gets too messy for me.
Oh yea the four hour time difference, I guess I am actually getting up later here... lol... Jo....
I am staying up past my bedtime then....Oh dear... I am such a night owl....
Poochís vet appt went well today. I really like the vet and Marty likes her too. Thatís a bonus!!

Well I am off to my nest...

Have a good night Peeps and keep Sparking...

Hi Ladies,

Well, I finally made it to the walking track at one of the arenas today. It's still drizzly outside, and I wasn't in the mood to get wet. Because 5 rounds is a kilometer, I was able to find out how fast I walk. I'm about 14 mins per km, and y'know, I'm happy with that for now.

My daughter is working on getting her own DC up and running and I will be doing the books. I am also looking for a doctor out here. I got the pooch a good vet now I need to get a Doc for me. I am going out tomorrow to check one out and see if they are taking newbies...
I bet your happy to have the wifey home...mowing rocks and all...lol...

Well, it's good to know there's still a pulse here. :-D

Glenda, what do your days look like, now that you have less to look after in terms of household?

Lori, if all else fails, get a Spanx to help hold you in. :-)

It's finally summer, and Wifey is home till September. Her first big job: mow the WHOLE lawn. She clipped a few rocks, and got a plastic sheet stuck in the blades near the end. She's happy, and right now, that's all that matters.

Work exploded yesterday... well the number of requests did. It's crazy... we're still 2 weeks behind, and we're supposed to respond to tickets within 5 days. Oh well... job security. ;-)

And on that note, Spark it on the Sunny Side!

Polo!!! Lol

Yes Jo, I guess everyone is busy. I forgot just how busy the month of June is. Only have 1 more week to go away and 3weeks till the wedding. I'm nervous about the dress as it's super tight. Ok standing but feel like I can bust the seams out sitting. I've been meaning to get at the crunches but it hasn't happened yet. I basically have 22 days to work on the belly/back fat. God help me find the will to get it done!! I'm going to try to do 30-50 crunches a day for the next 22 days and not eat like a pig while on vacation. And for the record Jo it's pouring here already with a chance of thunder and lightning ... Eeeekkk!!!!!

Hope everyone else is doing good. Spark on!!!!

Hey gang!

Um....

Marco....?

Marco..?

Marco?

Oh, wait, we don't have a Marco here, do we? Or do we? :-)

If it's not raining yet, enjoy the first day of summer with hopefully a little sun.

It's good to see us busy with life. :-D

Tooth extraction went much better than planned. It took longer for the needle to be put in and freezing injected than it did to remove the tooth. Everything is healing nicely. I'm now waiting for BC to determine how much they pay for the denture. It will only have 2 teeth, but I really need them to chew. It feels like my jaw is not sitting right since I've had the first one removed. So, I'm hoping they mail me something soon.

The weather. O.M.G. When did the Atlantic Provinces get this nice?! I have been busy with studying travel consulting, so I haven't gotten in the yard much, but wow.... and other than the bugs... wow. That reminds me, I need to pick up more smudge coils for the deck. It really keeps the bugs from coming under the screen, and those who are inside are trying to get out.

And tonight, I will spend some time on my client database for the business. I need to figure out if they are really approachable or not... especially 2 of the higher mucky-mucks in SNB. But I worked with them on a project, and they still say hello to me when we cross paths, so I think it'll be ok.... I am not great at promoting myself, especially with something new like this, so many insecurities tend to pop up. Anxiety has stopped me a few nights from even opening the laptop and working on it. But I want to do this. I want to plan out my first 50 people for launching my business in a good style, not an in-your-face style.

And I want -- no, NEED to do activities at night that will help de-stress me, like a little bit of yoga and some meditation for mindfulness about 15 mins before I start closing down the house for the night. I find I want to feel calmer before bed.

WHOA! 3 male techs at my door! I gotta go! *snicker*

Hey peeps. Sorry I haven't been checking in as much. Got a bit busy but I'm still here and I'm still at it. Working hard to get this body looked after. I got my dress for the wedding on Friday and it just fits... And I mean just. I'm going to have to focus a little less on cardio and more on strength training on my core. Of course it's the belly and back fat that make the dress tight. I haven't done any strength training at all so it's time for sure.
The Fitbit inspire is amazing. It has so many different features and it's all at my finger tips. I'm not sure I even know how to use it properly yet. Lol but I love it!!!
12 more days we leave for my sisters. I am so looking forward to this vacation. It's not often that my hubby gets to visit my family, it's usually just my girl and I so it will be nice. My brother in law even took off the entire 9 days off work. Gonna be a fun time.
Well got to run.
Have a great day. Xo

Hey Sparkers! I'm trying to get back in here, but it's been busy. But I'm working on making my alone time at home more productive, but know that I read it all!

Glenda, so glad to hear you've found a groove! And yes, the air quality is different there than here.

Lori, I'm jealous that you have a new fitbit! I really need to order new straps for mine, it hasn't been on since early in the new year.

*sigh* I get a tooth extracted today. I'm not looking forward to it, and only highlight is that I'm getting massage therapy just before it. I'm gonna sulk tonight.

But Spark it anyway!! ;-D

Thanks so much ladies. Xo and Jo so sorry to hear about your kitty

So I'm still pushing on. My hubby bought me an early birthday gift. I got a new Fitbit inspire HR and I'm loving it. I can now what my target heart rate to know where I should be which is awesome. It water proof so that's my commitment to get back to Aqua Zumba. We have been working on the shed so I haven't been free to get there but it's just about done so soon ladies... Soon!!! Next of the fix it list is the roof, then back deck then the dreaded driveway. We will have to go to the bank for that one. It's a big job that we certainly can't do ourselves. Ugh!!! Kills me to spend that kind of money but it needs to be done. Going to get some quotes and see what kind of solutions they can come up with as our driveway runs parellell with the road and is supported by a retaining wall.
In other news it's only 22 more days till we go meet our great nephew. He is 7 months old and his big sister is 2 1/2 and we haven't seen her since she was seven months old. We are going to Ontario to see my sissy so I'm super excited and the best part is my hubby is coming also. Since his best friend moved back here he offered to watch the animals. We are so grateful.

And I'm still hoping to get a different position at the store. I've been in the deli for 26 years and it is physically getting harder every year. Lifting all thise boxes day after day is wearing me out. I'm hoping to get the backshift to make sandwiches. It will be an adjustment working nights but I'm sure I'll adjust. Working 10 pm to 3-5 am seems doable and it would free up my days.

Anyway hope all is well with everyone. It would sure be nice to hear from some of the other members in this group. emoticon

Lori, so sorry for your loss. It's always hard when it's someone close to you. You're fortunate to not have lost anyone close to you before now. You learn to deal with it, one day at a time.

We had to put Boo-Boo Kitty down this weekend. I posted about it on Facebook -- he was 17. Wifey thinks he had renal failure, and he lost a lot of weight in 3 weeks. She couldn't bear to see him suffer more, so we made an emergency call to an animal hospital on Saturday. Last night, I was still missing Boo. I'm hoping to find a little more energy today.

We got cucumbers planted this weekend outside. That's it. The rest waits until after the 21st, when Wifey is home for the summer. That may just include lawn mowing -- I'll be nice to the bees this year. :-P

Spark it FAST!

Good morning peeps,

Jo jo I too am waiting on the warmer weather, as I sit here in a fleece hoodie and socks.. Brrr. It's so damp and cold today compared to yesterday. emoticon

Glenda I bet the mountains are spectacular, making for some nice pictures. Congrats to your granddaughter and enjoy your time with your family.

Yesterday my parents got some bad news. In their tight circle of friends, there was one couple that kind of headed the group. They were the couple that befriended my parents the day they moved in, they were always the first ones to welcome people to the building. Mom and dad spent quite a bit of time with them. They would take them for drives all over the province and would visit other couples at their cottages. They became there dearest and closet friends here and they became an aunt and an uncle to me. Well the husband passed away early satuday morning. They were out in the lobby Friday night.... (Or as they like to call it " the club" ) they all went back to their respective homes and he was feeling tired so went to lay down and started feeling sick. Got back up and started getting sick and getting the sweats and the sort... Passed out and never came back from it. Died of a massive heart attack. My parents are devastated and we are all left in shock. I've never had anyone close to me pass away suddenly..... Well not that I remember. I was too young to remember. But my god it shakes ya to the core. It really got me thinking about my health.... My journey.... It has me analyzing everything.
Certainly makes you rethink how we are living our lives doesn't it!!! Glenda and Jo I know you both have suffered greater losses in your lives. So no disrespect. I couldn't imagine dealing with sudden loss.

Anyway folks hug your loved ones. Let them know that you love them and don't ever leave any stone unturned. You'll never know what tomorrow brings. Hugs.

Me also...
Went to my grandaughterís graduation ceremony today. It was really beautiful. It was held in a park here with the mountains in the background. I will be visiting that park again, for sure. I am very proud of my GD. She truly is a beautiful young lady inside and out...
Tomorrow we are going to have a picnic in another park by the marina here...
Well I am very tired tonight. It has been a long day...
Keep Sparking Peeps...
Hugs..
