Stay at home day. Did some cleaning and some short walks in the fields. Cooked some scallops for dinner. I put lemon pepper on them and sprayed some Pam in my frying pan to cook them. They were delicious. emoticon
How are my Sparkies doing? Are you working on your journey? Donít give up! You can do this! Set little goals for yourself and kick yourself in the patushka to achieve them. It works!

Went a little further on my walk today and I even managed to run a couple of times. (Mostly because I was chilly and wanted to get back to my car)...

Ah Sunday evening and almost bed time. Only two official days left of work... I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Can hardly wait to get started on my new journey.
Today I met with an old friend. It sure was nice to see her. We had a good long chat and she wished me well in my next adventure.
Life can have a lot of opportunities should we choose to take advantage of them. It is what we make it and our choices can determine which road we take on our journeys.
Live life to the fullest everyday and sparkle your beauty to others.
Hugs to all my Sparkies. You guys are the best...

I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I posted here. This hasn't been an easy few weeks.

I'm waiting for the HR director to come back to her office for our meeting. And I finally found out what happened. Essentially, my current supervisor & manager asked SNB back in October for an extension. SNB asked for a date, so they could have something on the books. Unfortunately, supervisor & manager took that as a sign they wouldn't extend more.... so they didn't even try to go back and ask for more extensions. Meanwhile, they are giving my secondment to someone else, because they thought I was leaving.

HR meeting soon, and if nothing happens from that, I will go to the Minister and my MLA. The other secondment can be rescinded and given to me. That said, we have a big gap in Testing, and I would LOVE to do that kind of work if it's too awkward to bring me back to User Support.

And to top it off, my access card is not working today, as if it was cancelled TODAY.

I'm about to have my 3rd meltdown today.

Hey peeps. Sorry I've been Mia. Trying to get things wrapped up around here. Downstairs is done as much as it's going to be done until after Christmas. I. Cleaning up the tools out of the laundry room and getting some things back in their places. I finally finished decorating my tree this morning before work so now tomorrow I just have to pack them back up and put them back in the attic. I still have shopping to do, but am working every day but two in the next 2 weeks. Should be interesting. Being back at work full time is exhausting.

Glenda and Shirley we will have to get together for coffee and get caught up. We are long overdue.

Jo I hope you get to stay in your job. Good luck with that. Hugs.

Well got some laundry to fold. Got to run.
Chow for now. Xo

Hey team.. busy tracking, meal planning, exercising and getting Xmas cooking/baking done for my mom etc..and working 2 jobs lol

I am now tracking in a book daily per meal per snack and carry it with me in my purse - so I do not track here on Spark, but track daily. I finally broke the 10 lb mark that I have been trying to do for the past 6 weeks.. now 11 lbs / 11 inches in 6 weeks and working on more over the holidays/new year.

How is everyone doing ? Can you believe it is Dec 10th...wow time flies.

Glenda - not many more sleeps for work for you ..whooo hoooooo I hope you are looking forward to it. I am working on my 2nd job to have something when I retire...that and volunteering will most likely be my go to. So I am out of the loop - did you sell your house ?

Lori - how are the renos ? Hope you are done as Xmas is just like 2 weeks away.

Jo - Sam, and others - are you enjoying the fast moving December ?
Jo - sending positive vibes and thoughts your way.. hope you can stay in your current job.

Well just a quick hello, just working and taking a 15 second break. Spark on Team.

Aww, @INSH8P (Gail).... that was really heartwarming. I needed that today.

I was told yesterday that I'm going back to my old job at SNB in the new year. Obviously I'm angry, but I haven't flipped out. Sulked a lot last night, but didn't lose my poop. And I'm fighting it. I've asked for a meeting with the director of IT in this department, the director of HR for here, and I'm getting an email ready for the MLA too. I'm going to fight this hard, but it felt like, to me, the soft-hearted managers just couldn't deal with the bullies at SNB, and they stopped fighting. That is quite typical, however, the IT Director has the most balls in any room she walks into. If I can get this bee in her bonnet, I might just get to stay here in January.

Meanwhile, I keep plugging away at the work in Housing. I hear about a lot of other people in this department who waste a lot of time, between water-cooler chatting for 2 hrs to playing solitaire on the computer for hours at a time. I barely make it onto Spark to log in, and if I'm really lucky, then I have time to post in the teams.

I have tomorrow off, and the plumber is coming over to install the dishwasher we bought back in OCTOBER! I will finally be able to stop washing the utensils, because the old dishwasher just misses that whole section.

Time for a little roll call!

For me, December is a celebration of the start of family and the sharing of the inspiration of a community's values.
Whether it is Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, (the end of) Diwali, the Winter Solstice, or Christmas, sharing who you are and what you value is a memory that can be cherished, year to year.
The gift giving is a tradition, just like the sharing of messages (Christmas card) (Boxing Day). Living with gratitude lifts the spirits and transforms the day-to-day into a more beautiful attitude, the innocence of childhood.
