Good evening ladies.

Today was gorgeous. We got a taste of spring. It was so nice sore foot or not I had to get out. Oddly enough it didn't bother me walking. Its when I take my sneakers off that it starts. I have been putting ice on it and I have it elevated when I'm home sitting down. Doesn't seem to be helping though.
Anyway, I'll get it look at eventually.

Tomorrow is March 1st. I can't believe it. And what shocks me even more is my girl will be 12 soon. How the heck did that happen.

Anyway my parents are on there way so I want to get all my posts done before they arrive so I'll sign off.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Last day of Feb... What a gorgeous day! I hope everyone had a good Sparking Day..

Me and the pooch went for a beautiful walk after lunch. Oh, the fresh air was so nice.

Yesterday I put my name on the Doctor waiting list. It doesn't look promising.. This morning I did a little phoning around, and was told by one clinic they are trying to get Nurse Practitioners in to handle their overload. It's all just a wait and see what happens.

I am going to do my workout now so all you peeps have a nice Sparking evening...

Hugs...

February, don't let the door hit you on the way out! :-P

Sam, happy belated anniversary! You & Mr. Man looked good on FB. :-)

I tracked yesterday, and by supper, I knew I wouldn't get enough protein with meat, so I had egg whites in a stir fry. I cooked it up in a pan first, then chunked it up, fried up veggies, added sauce, then the eggs. Yep, really good. Yep, got in enough protein. So I ran the Nutritional Report, and I have to say, it was great to see my fat intake not as high as usual. I was still over, but not by much. Yep, egg whites are ruling right now. :-)

I didn't quite get all my chores done last night.... the Lazies kicked in. I did get some dishes done, the cat litter box, and then I couldn't remember what laundry I needed to wash and why. This morning I remembered, so that's on tap for tonight.

Proofing eyes? Yeah, I've done that kind of thing for quite some time. I remember taking an exam in high school, and I found a spelling error, and it wasn't even a typo. I told the teacher, and I got an extra point on the exam for finding it. I spoke to my supervisor this morning, and because the docs I was looking at are legal documents, I'm not qualified to sign off that they're correct. So, that's off my plate, and I'm back to finding untranslated text and taking screenshots. And recordings when more are available. :-)

Wifey now has 3 exams down, 2 to go. Because she needs an extra hand while I'm at work next week, Chef Son is coming up. GF Chef isn't, though I'm not sure when the NS March break is, and she has a kiddo in elementary school.

After talking to Mom on the weekend, I really need to find some simple soy sauce substitutes, since I'm not supposed to have any soy at all. The best one I found so far is Tamari sauce. Does anyone know what that is, and if it has a fishy flavour or smell at all?

I had to peek at the scales again this morning, and I'm down to 215. Sunday is the weigh-in, and Monday morning is the weight I put into the Tracker. I'm hoping to be under 220 Monday morning, and stay out of the salts and sugars over the weekend.

Back to work, and back to my salad. :-D

Put your right foot in,
Pull your right foot out
and Spark it all about!

Afternoon ladies!

Thanks for the Anniversary wishes! We had a fabulous dinner last night and it was so good to get out with just the two of us. It truly is our special day, and I think because this is a second marriage for both of us we realize how precious and hard it is to maintain a good marriage. I certainly look up to those who have lasted as it takes tremendous work to grow together through the test of time. I do realize though that it takes two people to do this, and if one party or both don't put in the 110% it will never work, well the marriage may exist but not the happiness. I count my blessings every single day that I am not in a one sided marriage any more and have the absolute best partner in life NOW!

Zumba tonight so exercise will get done!

Busy at work so I have to get back at it! Chat soon everyone :)

Good evening ladies.
Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of February. Time is flying by.

So my foot has decided to join the neck a be a pain in my arse. My god I'm falling apart these days lol my heel has been aching and now it starting to swell. And like you Glenda my family doctor retired in November also. I found that out when I took Rebecca to the walk in clinic in January and told her my Drs name. She said he retired... I informed her that there are 2 DR Brennan's and she looked at me like I had 10 heads and replied.. " I know and yours retired" I was shocked there was no letter that came out. Disappointing to say the least. Mom goes to her Dr I believe this week and he is fairly new so he may just take us on. She convinced him to take on my brother and his wife.
Not only am I falling apart but so is our health care system with the shortage of family doctors.

Yes Glenda we need to get together. Just let us know what works darling. Xo

Sam hope you enjoyed your anniversary dinner with hubby and great job on getting a workout in before work. Every minute counts.

Jo glad you got the eyes to proof read... I'd need a magnify glass and a rockstar energy drink to keep me awake. Lol

Shirley, I still haven't done that. I guess I am but of a procrastinator.( insert sad face and rolling eyes) got to get it done though. I need to get these things taken care of.

Anyway ladies it's time to hit the hay. Night chills are sneaking up on me.

Good night.

Lori, I hope your neck is better. We girls need to get together again soon...

Jo, glad you had a good weekend and stayed on track.

My teaching the student at work is going along better than I thought. Thank heavens.... It does put me behind in my work though. Oh well, such is life. We all have our challenges, eh?

My challenge now is to get some sleep...

Hey Team!

Quick note, since it's already after 4pm, and I want outta here at 4:30 today.

Went to the cooking class last night, and I learned a few things. Not many, but a few new things.

Tonight is House Chores night. Pick up some dog food on the way home, then dishes, laundry, garbage, and *ugh* cat litter box. Since we have 4 cats, it's not a small box. Y'know those under the bed storage containers? We ditched the lid and use the bottom as the litter box.

I'm a little bug-eyed today, because I was doing a French-English comparative on a legal document. No, I'm not a lawyer, but I was checking for grammar and spelling errors that the spellchecker didn't catch. When I started to yawn at 11:20, I knew it was time to switch tasks.

Ok, 20 mins left... I can get another half-dozen screenshots done before I leave. :-D

If you Spark it
And you know it,
Clap your hands!

Jo

Good Day team... had issues logging in last night.. but did get my tracking done.

Lori - I hope you checked in to your coverages and have made that appointment for your neck.....!!! Keep the shoveling..it will melt today :)))

Glenda... glad not too much shoveling..and as for Dr. retiring.. it seems to be happening daily and no one is getting a mail-out to advise... sad our current doctor shortage... mine ended up leaving his medical practice a couple of years ago (health issues), but I was fortunate to receive a letter and one of the few that my file was passed onto another doctor .. now mind you this doctor is NOTHING like the one I had.. he is very vocal and set in his ways (lol) But I have no choice but to keep him at this point.. Good luck if you have not got yourself on the list for a doctor get on that list for starters !!!

Sam... oh no on the snow..but on a positive note its the end of February..so Spring is around the corner.

Jo - sounds like a great weekend and great visits !!

Well got head back to work.

SPARK ON TEAM !!!

Hey ladies!

Man oh man did we get a dump of snow last night! I bet we have over a foot of snow, good thing it's really light and fulffy or we would be bogged down for sure! It's so pretty out though when it's all fresh and white with new snow. If I didn't have to get out in it I'd almost love it bahaha!

Today is our 2nd anniversary! The time has just flown by, and we always say that we should have been married for 22 years instead of 2! We have reservations to go out tonight for supper at a fancy restaurant so Im' kind of excited. Date night!

So I didn't get up at 6 this morning to do my workout BUT I did turn it on when I got to work and do half of it! So my goal is to finish the other half tonight after our date night! I might even through in a half hour of yoga as I'm a little stiff from yesterday's lower body workout. I always get to work 45 minutes early as Hubby starts at 8 and I start at 8.30 so I have time to get in a 15-20 minute workout before anyone shows up, so I might start doing that on a regular basis!

Anyway gotta get at the work before I get fired haha! Have a great day all!

Hey ladies.

Sam on those I don't wanna days I tell myself just 5 minutes on the bike or my favourite is just a quick watp video I always end up doing the 3 miles which is 48 minutes. Or I say I'm just going to walk the dog around the loop then I drop her off and continue on .. She could not do 5 km. The last time I took her that far she was dragging her hind legs for the rest of the night.

Glenda I should have shovelled but my neck us acting up again so I was hoping the warm weather coul take care of it for me. Lol hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow.

Shirley, the weekends do go by fast sometimes. I wish we could slow it down somehow. Lol

Jo I'm glad you got a visit in with your mom and wife. Even though you didn't track you stayed on course. Great job.

Off to do more tracking. Nice to see everyone posting.

Another day under the belt... Woo Hoo!

I did have some shoveling to do this morn, but it wasn't too bad. A little heavy but I took my time.

Today I thought I would make an appointment for a check up. Well my doctor retired in Nov and now I need a new one. I was totally unaware he was retiring. It's plain to see that I don't go very often, or perhaps I would have found that out. It is not easy to find someone that is taking on new patients. Still looking... emoticon

It sure is nice seeing all the posts from the peeps... emoticon

I just finished my workout and now I am going to relax.

Have a good night peeps...

Hugs..

Hey Peeps!

My weekend was good, even though short. The drive to Moncton was a little wet and had a few walls of ice pellets & high winds. It was good to visit Mom, and super to see Wifey. We went to the benefit show, and it was a good time. We bailed around 9:30, but so did a lot of other people too. :)

It's hard to cheat when I'm at Mom's, because she has everything portioned out and frozen. So even though I didn't track what I ate Saturday & Sunday, they weren't heavy food days.

Sam, I fight the Don't Wannas all the time, to the point I was suffering from anxiety over it and needed meds. You probably don't need them, but when I still get the Don't Wannas in my head, it might take 20-30 mins to convince myself to get up and get something done. It's not always a workout, either. House chores aside, I've set this year as my DeClutter year, so I have to keep up the clean-up to keep up with those goals. Like Shirley suggested, I try telling myself that I will either spend X minutes doing this task, or work on it until I reach Y stage, like "I'll look through 2 bags of clothes OR spend 30 minutes going through those bags, whichever comes first." And then at some point, I shut off whatever is distracting me from the activity, let out this HUGE sigh, and then start. Washing dishes falls in this category, too. :-) It's rare that I actually WANT to do it right then, but the big sigh lets out the frustration I usually feel, then a little pep-talk "C'mon, Jojo.... you wanted this done", and I'm usually up from my chair about then.

Tonight, I'm going to a class to learn to make cannabis-infused oil. I'm quite sure I know how it's done, and I use a crock pot to do mine, but at Veteran Farmer's, she uses a rice cooker. I'm hoping she covers that appliance tonight. :-)

Back to French screenshots!

Jo

Hey Team!

So awesome to see everyone had a fantastic weekend! We certainly lead busy lives!

I DID it this morning. I set the clock an hour early and got up and did Day 1 of the 21 day fix! I feel great but probably will be a bit sore tomorrow. I have to make this a habit as I don't get time (or the motivation) to do this in the evenings :(.

What do you tell yourself when you are on the couch and you need to get up?

Good evening ladies.
Today was a half a bust for me. I was so tired after Rebecca left. I just felt wiped out so I headed back to bed and slept till almost 1130. I was shocked I stayed in that long. I got up and gawd lunch washed up a few dishes and headed to the grocery stores. I had my meal plan done so I was happy to get that much done.
My girl got home late from skiing and had a blast. Hubby are watching a new series on Netflix.
Other than that not much else going on. Back to the grind tomorrow but with a better plan.

Good night ladies. Let's start strong again this week.

Hey ladies. I only came on yesterday to track as we went to my besties for her daughters bday party. The girls had a great time and so did me and my bff. Always a hoot and a half. Of course there was alcohol and late night snacks involved but I figured with no weightloss I could enjoy myself, check out for a bit and regroup for next week.
We had a shopping day today as our girls are of the age where clothes matters now. They enjoyed themselves and missy had saved some Christmas gift cards for the occasion. Funny as the other little missy has done the same as my girls birthday is only 3 weeks away.

Anyway it was a great time. Tomorrow back to the grind of planning for the week ahead and of course... Housework!!

Good night my lovelies.

Shirley, it was a nice walk yesterday. I was going to go today, but I caught up in some other things and lost track of time. Maybe I will get there tomorrow.

Made a roast pork for supper with parsnips, carrots and cauliflower. It was tasty. I have lots of leftovers for a few meals.

Well my friends, I am off to bed. I am quite tired tonight.

Have a good night peeps..

Got a walk on the beach today. The wind was cold on the face, but it was so nice just to go.

I had gone to lunch with my SL and then I did my weekly grocery shopping before I went for the walk.

Now I am ready for bed.

Have a good night all you lovely peeps and keep the Spark...

Good evening ladies.

So I am beat to a snot tonight. I pushed extra hard at Aqua Zumba.. Trying to get the measly 1 pound. I also did some strength training. Sam when you set that up for us last year I loved it and I proved to myself that even though I was intimidated by strength training, this site gave me many options to choose from and I could safely modify some movements and still get a great workout in. I'm a cardio girl at heart so I sometimes forget about the strength training. I can't seem to just do strength training without doing some kind of cardio.
Anyway I am going to take some time on Sunday to see what I can do to revamp what I'm doing. I bought groceries but never did up a meal plan. Just did as we went. It was ok but I feel better if I have a meal plan set out.

Anyway. Fingers crossed I get what I'm looking for. Tomorrow night I will spending the night with my best friend. A few wobbly pops are in order. I hope I can have a celebratory drink instead of drinking away my sorrows. Ha ha.

Either way I'm having a drink and I will enjoy it, I'll enjoy myself and we have a ton of fun as we always do.

Well yesterday I went to the chiropractor for an appointment that was supposed to be today! Sometimes I wonder about myself haha!

We had Zumba last night and this is the first night I've been there in three weeks, and I have to say I'm kinda stiff this morning! Part of it is that I really do need to see the chiropractor but we did some new songs last night so it was challenging! I will be sorry when it ends :)

Lori you need to get yourself a new laptop!! You have to be able to get on spark! Have you tried changing your eating habits to break your plateau? You need to give your body a little shock to get moving again.

Jo sorry about your friend. Cancer sucks all the way around and it seems to be getting worse and worse all the time. In the past four months we have had two co-workers diagnosed.

I think we may actually get a quiet weekend in! We were supposed to have a lions zone dart tournament but it's been cancelled so we have no plans! I'm kind of excited to be spending the weekend home. I want to get some cooking done that I can freeze for lunches. I made cabbage rolls out of cauliflower rice and they were really good so I might try that again. I will also do a couple of homemade pizzas and freeze them uncooked.

I think I will start our income tax returns this weekend as well. I do ours, my daughters, and some other family members. I have a bit of medical I can claim this year so I should get a little back!

I NEED to get back into an exercise routine. I've so fallen off this wagon and I have to get back on! I guess the only way to do it is just DO IT! No one is going to do it for me. Meal prep will help with time issues. I missed it this Sunday and I can tell. The eating isn't so bad ( although I do have treats) but I still need to get moving.

Anyway, chat soon!

Hello ladies.

Yes Glenda I was having issues. Wayne thinks it's my iPad. Maybe one of these days I will take it to the Apple Store and get them to look at it. I just received my letter of 25 years service and get to chose from a variety of gifts so maybe I will get a new laptop so I won't have to go through this cause it only happens on my iPad. It's not very compatible with this site that's for sure.

Anyway going to keep it short as it is getting late and I still have tracking to do.

Hope you all had a great day.
Happy Sparking.

Jo getting your birthday off absolute bonus!!! Lucky you... emoticon

Sparking Hump Day almost over... It will soon be bed time. Man the days are flying by. I sure wish I was going out West to see my D and GC. Not going to happen this year though, I don't think.

Shirley are you going to try the Nordic walking? It is supposed to be really good for you.

Lori are you still fighting with the posting? Modern technology, eh!! Sometimes it isn't all that it is cracked up to be.

Sam, how's your week going?

Well Sparkies I am going to say goodnight...

Have a lovely night....

Hugs...

Hi ladies!

Still here. And I don't have to worry about losing weight too fast... stepped on the scales for a peek, and I was back to 222. Oddly, I feel relieved. *rolling eyes*

Lots going on at work, and I absolutely love it. This morning in our team meeting, our supervisor told us that starting this year, her staff are allowed to take our birthdays off without recording it. A freebie!! That doesn't happen often at all!

I saw this the other day and wanted to share it with you:

Print it off if you feel you need to see this every day. :)

Happy Hump Day!

Hey gang!

This past weekend was good for the soul, for sure! Wifey leaves tomorrow for Moncton, so these past few days have been great! She's been studying a lot for her exams next week, which is also why I chose to come to work -- so she could study.

My mind has been reeling a bit these last few weeks. Every time I step on the scales and see weight loss, my brain suddenly thinks it must be cancer, that I'm losing weight when I shouldn't be, and OMG I didn't work hard enough to get that much off. A month ago I weighed in at our Women's Wellness group in town, and it was 222. I didn't make it in 2 weeks ago, so I did it last Sunday -- I was down 6 lbs from a month ago. Is it possible I've actually lost 6lbs in a month? Yes, actually, it is. I've been working hard at fitness, trying hard to keep the nutrition as healthy as possible, and trying to stay busy in the evenings. My belly doesn't feel like I lost any at all. I'll keep you posted as I find out test results.

It's been on my mind a lot lately, especially since a friend from Moncton now has cancer in the bones at stage 4. That means she will never be in remission, but she can be treated for it and return to work. There's a benefit night at a pub in Moncton on Saturday night, and I'll be there with Wifey.

I decided today that when I'm paid on Thursday, I'm going to pick up my insoles, then go to Blue Cross to get the cheque back, swing around to the bank and drop that off, then swing back to the eye doctor clinic to put that money on Wifey's glasses. I really REALLY hope there are no more unexpected expenses this month!

Don't eat the yellow snow!

Jo

Morning everyone!

We had an extremely busy weekend this weekend at our Lions Club! 15 teams of 6 men, plus coaches and spectators makes for a huge crowd in one place! It was a great tournament though, everyone complimented us on how smoothly it ran and how good the service and food was. It was an excellent opportunity for the club to earn some well needed cash to pay for our international dues and deposit some into our building maintenance account. It was very much needed!

I took a vacation day yesterday because Hubby had it off for a civic holiday and I just couldn't let him sleep in and me go to work! It was a nice day as we slept in then I had a massage appointment.

Next Saturday we have a Lions zone Dart tournament, meaning all the lions clubs from our zone will be meeting to have a dart tournament with the winner going on to play province wide. Our lions club will be hosting so it will be another busy day!

Anyway have to get to work! Chat laters :)

Good evening ladies.

So today was family day, a holiday for most. So glad my hubby didn't have to work. He actually was lucky enough to have the holiday fall on his weekend off so it was nice to have the extra day so we had a nice relaxing weekend... Other than the tournament .. Which by the way they came in first place. So proud of all the kids.

Today Rebecca wanted to have a Netflix marathon so I got my walk in this morning then we watched a few movies. The Inlaws invited us up for our yearly dish. A family friend does this dish that has all the bad stuff but tastes soooo good. She only makes it a few times a year because it is so costly so I wasn't going to pass it up. Glad I had that walk. Lol

Now to finish tracking and watch a show with my hubby.

Keep sparking peeps. Xo hugs.

Had some snow to shovel today. Marty loves the snow so I played with him on the back deck.
I got my Inc Tx and my Bl's finished.

Tomorrow I have some meal prepping for the week ahead to do. I think I will put a pork loin in the oven to roast. I did a meat loaf yesterday and put half in the freezer for another time.

Nothing else happening so I am off to bed for now.

Night my peeps...

Hugs..

Hey ladies,

Thanks for your tips Shirley. It's been an off week but tomorrow is a new week of trying new things and moving forward on my journey.

So today was a pretty laid back day. We puttered around, played some cards and board games, I did a work out and climbed in the tub for a nice hot bath. My feet having been screaming at me these days so I thought it was time for a bit of pampering. Plus the roads were not the greatest. I picked Rebecca up from a sleepover and once we got home I decided I was staying put.

I've joined a biggest loser challenge so I've been playing around on that site tonight and trying to navigate around to make some changes to my page. Hard to do from the iPad. I think I got it all done. I've got to go back over the list but I think I got it covered so I'm really looking forward to that challenge.
Anyway I must finish tracking.

Happy sparking.

Happy Sunday Team... what a pretty sight this morning.. a bit of snow falling and ground is covered :)))

I hope everyone is having a great weekend... I am trying to get rid of this cold..so not venturing too far. I am afraid to visit my mom with this cold.. this is not something she needs.

Oh Lori I so know about the discouraging weigh ins... there are so many factors that can shake up those damn numbers ... :(( Us as women.. water retention/sodium/time of day/month etc.... just review your tracking and see if there is anything that stands out... did you get in more sodium this week (I track my sodium on Spark) and without adding salt to foods its crazy how one meal and get that number too high !!! Cheeses/crackers/breads/canned or frozen food/fast foods /processed meats..etc.....
Keep your water up..and your fibre and I am sure next week things will improve.....
Remember we are measuring (monthly) and that is when things will show .. its not all about the scales... heheh - you have told me that over and over again.. YOU GOT THIS !!!!
emoticon

Well gotta track and see if I can find the energy to do some laundry..this cold sucks !!!

Hugs Sparkers !!!

Good evening ladies.

So after a discouraging weigh in this morning I called my mother and of course her response was... " come on let's go" so we got our duds on and went for a walk.... In the rain. It was no nice. We were able to walk the frog pond as all the patches are free of ice. Muddy in a few spots but we both laughed as we tried to dodge them saying too bad we didn't have our rubbers on otherwise you would have found us playing in the puddles. It was so nice, kind of like a detox for me. Anyway it didn't take long for my mood to turn around. When I got home I had a bowl of apples. I wanted the caramel sauce too but I opted for something else in stead. I had tried PB2 when I was over at Shirley's the other week so I decided to mix some up. I used warm water and made it a bit running , I felt like I was eating a chocolate fondue my god it was good. I think I'm really going to enjoy adding this in where I can, especially when I'm craving something sweet.

Well time to call it a night. Going to be a long day tomorrow with a lot of pacing. Rebecca has her tournament tomorrow. She is playing doubles and with a senior. If they do well they go to provincials, if not this will be it for them. It's only her first year and a junior, all the others have been playing for a few years so it could go either way. She doesn't have the experience but she is a really good bowler and at times can pull off numbers better than some of the seniors.
Fingers crossed they do well.

Have a great day tomorrow. Keep sparking.

Good luck with those taxes Glenda.

Shirley, I hope you start coming around soon. It's a bad one and hard to shake. Feel better.

Sam sounds like you got a longer day ahead of you tomorrow. good luck with the tournament.

Jo, good luck with your tracking this weekend. I know you can do it ...and again congrats on the scale victory for you.

Good night.

NB's first Family Day long weekend is upon us!! YAY!!!

Lori, you must take after your mother, if she didn't even flinch till the 8km mark!

Sam, homemade burgers are low carb -- boxed ones, not so much. ;-)

I actually managed to get outside today for a small walk. There are so many puddles on the sidewalks! Unlike most of you, Fredericton snowbanks are HUGE!! I could open the bedroom window and take a small step down to get to the snow. It's melting, but we got hit with 2 snowstorms back to back, and it shows. But today, it doesn't matter, because it's WARM!

Remember I said on Tuesday that I went in for a bone scan? I was given a shot of radiation. All day Wednesday, yesterday and still today, I seemed to have the runs. I didn't connect the dots until this morning when I didn't even make it out of the house to go to work. The radiation shot is giving me the runs. Well, at least that should be mostly over by tomorrow. I was starting to get a little worried I might have a flu or something. But no, it's just toxins. *eye rolling* It would also account for my sore muscles and a bit of fatigue in the last couple days. I can't imagine going through chemo and radiation....

So the long weekend is here, and I'm going to make efforts to stay on track with calories at least, and work on getting my minimum amount of protein. I have a weigh-in on Sunday afternoon, and I'm hoping to get at least one more little bit of exercise tomorrow to see even a little bit of loss. I'm just happy the Monday morning scale number at home is hovering the 220lbs mark, instead of 225. :-D

Enjoy your weekend!!

Morning ladies and any gents out there :)

It's Friday peeps! Our Lion Club is hosting the men's D division Western Dart tournament this weekend so Saturday and Sunday will be spent at the club! There are 15 teams of men so we will need lots of beer and food haha! We also will be helping with the running of the tournament in way of referees and scorekeepers so it's a huge event for us. I expect to be there from 9 in the morning until 9 at night for sure. The worse thing is that it's all hamburgers and fries, or soup and sandwiches. For a low carb person it's a nightmare! Oh well, it's only two day I'm sure I will survive having fries and gravy, or a big juicy hamburger emoticon

House cleaning night at my house! I told everyone that it gets done tonight because we are going to be gone all weekend. I HATE coming home to a dirty house so I have to get the bulk of my weekend cleaning done tonight, no ifs, ands, or buts about it! I wish I was a bit richer I would invest in a Roomba thingy. I think it would be awesome for my house with all the cat hair as there is no such thing as sweeping, I vacuum twice a day!

My neck and shoulder is having a flare up this week. I didn't realize how much I had improved until now that it is giving me huge issues again. I have a massage booked for Monday and chiropractor on Wednesday. If that doesn't give me some relief I'll have to head back to the doc and get some anti-inflammatory. I'm not playing the let it get better on it's own thing again, I did that 7 years ago and it didn't get better!

I'd love to get outside and walk but there isn't really any place to walk unless I drive ten minutes to a trail. There isn't room on side of the roads with all the snow...and walking is dangerous! I am so done with winter and we didn't even have a bad one really. We had two big rain storms that took a lot of snow so it's relatively low for this time of the year, I'm praying for an early spring :)

Anyway not sure if I will get a chance to check in this weekend but have a good one all!

Sam

Good evening ladies.

Jo I have a foot spa with little roller massagers in them so yeah I had my foot spa last night.

Actually I was surprised my feet weren't more sore than what they were. In fact my neck was acting up today so I opted out of Aqua Zumba as I knew it would do me in so I called mom and her and I headed out. We do the 5 k loop. Today as we headed back we were saying how nice it was out and when we got to the 3/4 mark I asked if she had it in her to go a bit farther and she said yes so we went that way instead of this way and ended up walking a total of 9 km. She impresses me so much as she will be 78 next month and she held her own. Her pace never slowed down at all until the 8 km mark. Seriously it's crazy!!!

I dropped off another load to good will.... Shhhhhh!!! Don't tell anyone. I added quite a few things to the growing pile. Tee hee hee emoticon

Anyway it felt good to get out and clear the head, felt good to come home and clear my room....hmmm what can I get rid of next!!! Lol

Good night ladies. emoticon

What a beautiful day. Marty and I did get for our adventure. It was so nice out we went to the beach and then I took him for a nail trim. He really does love going for a drive. I can't even say the word drive. He gets so excited. Makes me laugh....
I did the usual after that. Grocery shopping, etc. I got a good deal on my tuna today, at Walmart, 88 cents a can. I stocked up on those. It usually costs 1.47 a can at Walmart and 2.47 at Sobey's. I also bought some vitamins. I just don't think I am getting quite enough in my food so I thought I would top them up, so to speak.
I dropped a bag of clothes off at the donation bin today, also.
This evening I went on my rowing machine and did some weights.
All in all it was a good day.

I hope everyone else had a good Sparky day as well...

Internal whiney voice: "Why didn't you get me any chocolate for Valentine's Day? I thought you loved me."
Internal voice of reason: "I didn't buy any chocolate BECAUSE I love you."

It was so good to hear Wifey last night... I think I needed it.

Oh Lori.... that's quite the feat, and I feel your pain! I did that once, and fortunately, I was close enough to (late) My Guy's work and he had to drive me back to the halfway point where I had intended to stop. Here's hoping you're not too sore today! If so, soak your feet in epsom salts & warm water, then wiggle your toes. :-D

I was happy to be productive last night. It was mild outside, so I finished up the kitty litter box, gathered up all the garbage, and put 3 bags to the road. We have a wooden box to hold our garbage so the wildlife don't pick apart the bags. I had to shovel out the box so I could open the lid, THEN shovel inside because before the last storm, I forgot to put the lid back down. But I couldn't be satisfied with that, noooooooo.... I dug out the roof rake and worked on clearing off the kitchen stink pipe. I couldn't see the opening anymore, so I worked at that for a little bit. Then I cleaned up the kitchen a bit, and finally had supper. While making supper, I flipped on Netflix and started watching Neil DeGrasse Tyson in a 10-series of lectures. I ended up watching 2 episodes, because he's that good. And he's a bright boy!

It felt really good to be that productive, especially outside.

Tonight, I have more things to move from one room to another, in the hopes of finding more stuff we can get rid of. I'm not even looking in the closets, and I have a TON of stuff still to go.

Nutrition was good yesterday... well, at least *I* enjoyed what I ate. :-) I had a fun meal last night, and I'm ok with going over my fats by at least double. Leftover bratwurst & salsa heated in a pan, when almost heated through, add tortilla chips and shredded cheese. It looks almost like nachos. Since I didn't have any tortilla chips, I used Ruffles chips instead, since the bag was nearly empty. I was surprised it was so yummy! That's one more bag of chips gone.

I was thinking about Lori last night when I decided it's time to reset my tablet back to factory defaults, so I can get rid of old software that's bogging it down. Lori, is it possible that's what's going on with yours? If it's ONLY this site, then don't do a backup & restore, because it may not help.

One more sleep till Wifey comes home for 5 whole nights!!

Good evening ladies.

Jo I wasn't too bad today. I did have my chocolate. I only eat dark now though as the milk chocolate contributes to my migraines but I limited myself to what I ate and tracked it.

So today I did a dumb thing. I went for a walk. Half way I took a detour that took me to another walk that I do that around long lake. I didn't intend to go as far as I did but people were out skating and it was so peaceful in there and I was totally enjoying my walk....but then I started getting tired and realized that no matter which way I went I was half way back... to the half way point emoticon
In total I walked 10 km and it took be just under 2 hours. I was beat by the time I got home. I never walked that far before lol.. well not since high school anyway. Thank goodness I took water with me. I wont make that mistake again. I must say it would be a nice walk if I had been feeling 100% lol

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your day.
Good night.
