Hey everyone. Sounds like the Christmas hussel has begun. A bunch of busy beavers. Doing lots of work and spending money like we got it. Lol
So tonight I opted out of Zumba again. I was off today and didn't get nearly as much done as I hoped before I headed out for my Dr. appointment. 2 phone calls put me back a good hour. Oh well I appreciated the rest. Lol
Tomorrow I am off and I'm torn between trying to finish my half fluffed tree, going shopping fir gifts or wrapping what I have to see where I am. I feel like I could be close to being done but I felt the same last year when I realized how much I had left to get.
So brother didn't come tonight as his wife got called to work and had the car and by the time I could pick him up it was too late so looks like Saturday will be the day. It makes no difference to me really. It doesn't hinder Christmas. I just close the door. The rest of the house is coming together nicely. Only thing left really is the tree and I have to take all the tools out of my new closet and arrange that.
I think I might go to the liquor store tomorrow. I'm suddenly feeling the urge for spiced rum and eggnog. That will fit nicely with Christmas music and tree decorating.
A nice dusting of snow would complete the setting .... Just saying. Lol
Good night ladies.

Hi Jo, Sam, Lori and Shirley... and whomever else might be out there Sparking...

Today the furnace man cleaned my furnace and put a new nozzle and filter in. So that's one more thing done for the winter...

I went for groceries this afternoon and then Marty and I went for a nice walk on the beach. So today was kind of busy.

Tomorrow I have to take my vehicle in for its maintenance check early in the morning so I think I will hit the hay early...

Have a nice night peeps....

Hugs..

Hi everyone,

So sorry I didn't get back here until today. Work is really ramping up, which is good. I don't do well with idle hands.

Probiotics are helping, though I haven't seen any weight loss yet. I'm still on the bandwagon, and trying not to fall off the sides. I am eating some chocolate and cookies at times, but if I don't see them, I don't think to eat them.

For the United Way Central NB fundraiser, they always put on a silent online auction. This year, there were things I would loved to have had for gifts, but I ended up with something for me -- stretching tubes! My last stretchy band broke about 2 weeks ago, and I've been without. I also got several charts to show me how to use them, and 2 boxes of Clif bars. I'll probably leave it all in my office, since that's where I tend to do my strength training. I'm still on the hunt for a portable DVD player too.

Last weekend's paint night was fun! My snowman looked nothing like the others, because I decided to do a simpler painting. While the others had fancy eyes, nose and mouth for theirs, I went with the black rocks and carrot nose concept. It looks ok, but then again, I'm extremely critical of any art work I do.

Heat pump -- ok, so I haven't seen my power bill yet, but that heat is quite nice. I haven't had the woodstove on since the heat pump was installed, and one of the fans inside of it is squeaking, so I'm in no rush to start it up again.

Hips & legs are still being a problem. The bursitis on the right hip is trying to heal, but the muscles in the upper glute are SOOOO tight that it's hard to heal. I'm hoping that tonight, I will actually soak in the tub for a half hour or so to help those muscles. Between Voltaren/A535 and heat on my back and Tylenol, that spot becomes at least a dull ache, but I know I need to do more. I'm still walking/working out at lunchtime, because I'm too stubborn to stop walking. And now that I have stretch tubes, I can get back to strength too.

Well, time to head back to the mechanic shop and see what the damage is.... buy a new winter tire, switch all 4 around (because they messed it up), MVI and I hope that's all I asked for. I think I need an account with these guys, so I can just pay $100/mo until everything is paid off and new tires can be paid for ahead of time. Here's hoping it's not more than $400.

Spark it all night long!

Jo

Thanks Sam.. I really didn't think I would be able to do this, but I mustered up the strength to. Oh I have my moments, don't get me wrong. Sometimes the temptation is pretty darn strong, but then I take that breath and remember what it was like to have all that weight on me and the pain that went with it. Everyday I pray I never go back to that..

Morning ladies!

Pretty quiet here on the home front for the moment although that won't last long I'm sure haha.

Lori hope you feel better soon, especially with all you have going on! And don't worry about the wagon and falling off...I've been driving that sucker and it's in a field of cotton to catch us all! Christmas seems to have that effect!

Glenda glad you doing well honey!

Shirley and Jo - how are ya doing?

Hello ladies. How's everyone doing??
Things are going awesome in my house. Not sure if I mentioned it but when we painted I quickly realized that a lot of my mixed matched wood pieces clashed so my darling father in law offered to paint my fireplace white foe me. We spent the afternoon putting it all together and my gosh it is lovely. I put garland and lights on it and started the placement of my glassware and I must admit it's the nicest I've ever seen it look. Bathroom is all painted now I just got to wait on my brother. Looks like Thursday night could be tile night. WOOO Hooo!!
Sadly this morning I woke up with the full blown head cold. I knew something was coming. I could feel myself getting run down. I didn't even get my flu shot yet. Oh well no time to rest yet. Lol hope you are all sparking hard. I'm off the wagon right now. Looks like it will be the new year before I can get back at it.
Good night.

A little chilly today, even at work. Our furnace was acting up... Got that working this afternoon though.
Well at least the snow is keeping away, for now anyways. I am so glad I don't have to shovel.
Sam, I guess you have had snow.

Off to bed now... Have a good night peeps...

Morning ladies!

It is snowing and I have a dentist appointment today. Enough said about this Monday! HAHA

Lori when we bought our house in the mountain we did a total reno on the whole house. As in jack it up and a whole new basement, rip everything to the outside studs, a whole new floor plan upstairs, rewire, replumb, etc. I'm still not over it...and that was three years ago. I feel your pain...and wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Glenda I'm waiting for that cleaning bug to hit me...so far it's very absent! But soon got to get at it for Christmas.

Anyway got to run...work is calling :)

Spark hard ladies! ( and any gents that may be reading )

Hello ladies.

How is everyone doing. I myself am beat!! Absolutely exhausted. Rebecca came in and woke me this morning and I swear it took me forever to get out of bed. The good news is the living room is all done. After supper last night I drove my brother home then spent the next hour in the attic and now my living room is full of Christmas bins. Lol didn't even get a chance to sit and enjoy the clean room for an hour.
The bathroom I hoping will be painted today if not tomorrow then sometime this week the tiles will get put in. Then the cabinets and vanity then we are done. It all be done possible my this Sunday coming. Fingers crossed cause I'm telling you I need a break. When this is all over I am going to enjoy more than one glass of spiced rum and eggnog. Lol
Well time to get ready for work. Have a great day ladies. I miss keeping in touch with you all. I feel so out of the loop. That will soon be changing though. :)
See ya.

More housework today and company this afternoon, so I didn't get out shopping. It's probably just as well. I may have been tempted to buy something I don't need...

I hope all you Sparkies are having a great weekend.

Went for a walk this morning. A little chilly but it was sunny and not too windy...

Got some housework done this afternoon. I didn't go out shopping. Avoided all the crowds..
Nothing I really needed anyway. I might venture out tomorrow.

Off to bed now..

Night peeps...

Well, I'm getting in the Christmas mood, which is good. :) I have a few things up at work, but haven't started at home yet. Assuming Wifey and I can get the living room cleaned up enough for it, we might be able to put it up by end of day Sunday. If not, it'll go to next weekend.

Sam, I so hear you about blended family and kids! I haven't had to deal with that since My Guy passed away, since they were his kids, but it always broke my heart to know they just wanted stuff from their dad, and barely get a thank you in return. Yet another reason I broke off all ties with the kids. As for Wifey & I, we're capping all gifts this year, because like you, we're down to 1 income. We've bought a few gifts already, and I managed to wrap most of them earlier this week. The ones who will be hardest to cap the dollar amount for are my sister's kids and Wifey's son & GF & daughter.

I'm still on the hunt for a stand-alone DVD player with screen so I can do the workouts at the office. There's a lot of strength training I won't do here because I wear big clunky headphones from my desktop, because I'm not ready to have that play nice & loud just yet. :-P

Tomorrow night, we're going to another Paint Night, and we'll be painting a snowman. I'm curious to see how it'll turn out. :-)

We have a silent auction going on in the Fredericton area through GNB, and I'm down to 3 items. I'm kinda hoping someone outbids me for one of the items, because I'm paying more than it's worth. It's a different brand of fitness tracker, and I'm giving it to Wifey. The yoga pack is mine, and the snow rake is to share. The auction is over at 4:30, so I will check around 4:15 to see where I stand. The My Kronos watch has been bid (by me) by almost twice its worth. I wish I had paid more attention to that before I put my last bid on it. Oh well.... it's not like she isn't worth it. :-D

C'mon 4:30!! :-D

Jo

Good Morning Team!

Christmas is approaching so fast! How is everyone doing with their shopping? I'm pretty good as this year is a tight year money wise, especially since Hubby has been off work the past three weeks with a bad back. Major kink in the money situation for sure!

I think I may decorate a little earlier this year. Normally I don't decorate until the 20th because I am so not a Christmas fan. It's so money oriented, especially with us being blended. It's like the other parents are in this big competition and HAVE to get more than us. So this year is one thing you want and the rest you need, with a cap on spending. It's not like we have babies, a 16 yr old, an 18 yr old, and two 21 yr old between us. It seems as the years go by the kids expect more and more and give back less and less. I get that they are teenagers and young adults but, take for example the ones that don't live in our home. We save Thursday nights as a family night just for them. That's once a week because they are so busy every other night with their own things they didn't want to commit to more than that, and they can't be even bothered to come down on a regular basis.

So next year I'm starting a present jar for each kid. For every time they spend quality time as a family your jar gets a marble. And quality time doesn't mean calling for a ride to a friends house. It means spending at least 20 + minutes with your parent actually talking...not playing on your phone. Each marble will represent $5. Each of the kids will have a year to fill the jar, and by next Christmas we will know what we are spending on each of them.

Anyway it's Friday!! I think I'm going home to have a nap after work lol!

Chat soon and spark hard!

Hello ladies.

Not too much new in my world..renos cleanup sleep and work. Yesterday papa and I got the painting done. I worked today, I went shopping tonight for a few Christmas gifts before the Black Friday sale wiped out any chance on getting the few things Rebecca asked Santa for.
Tomorrow I'm off and I'm hoping I can do a real good cleanup and get my furniture all back in their places. This weekend we will do the trim in the living room and dining room and I'm hoping to get my tree out of the attic. We doing Christmas at the cove breakfast buffet at bayside camp. I missed it last year as I was I. Bed with a migraine but I'm looking forward to going. Everyone went last year and raved about how nice it was. It was our first year.
Anyway it's late ns I'm pooped. And it's time for me to hit the hay.

I get up and do my steps at work, and I love that my fitbit reminds me to get my butt up off the chair.. It would be nice to dance but my co-workers would pee themselves laughing at me.. I can't dance.... lol....

Hi everyone,

Is anyone taking advantage of the Black Friday sales? I am not good at planning out Christmas gifts that far ahead, and I'm just not that organized. Pennington's is having a Black Friday sale all week, and guess who needs pants?! If they follow what they've done in the past, Saturday's sales will be all the daily sales from this week. I better go pick out the ones that fit me now, and when Saturday rolls around, I can pick them up. And if they're not there anymore? There's always online. :-D

Today at lunchtime, we were treated to a family singing group, one of which works in my office. Mostly 60's and 70's tunes, though they did throw in a Rankin Family tune too. I offered to help collect donations at the door for the United Way campaign, and when that was done, I danced to their signing. It was fun to do something like that, it was a small crowd, and I think the singers liked that someone got up to dance while they played. That, and I knew I wouldn't get out for my walk today, so this was the next best thing.

Have a Spark Day!

Jo

Hey gals!

Work has been picking up, a little at a time. That, and I don't like sitting idle at work, so I spend a lot of time learning the Housing environment, especially wording, and super especially the French wording. Staff in northern NB are very French, so I want to make sure I know what they're talking about when they call.

I am struggling a bit with Wifey not home. Not really bad, but I know it's there. Eating half a pizza was a big clue. I have to keep busy so I don't dwell over it, and last night, I was so tired I was asleep by 9:30pm. I feel better today, a little less down. That, and playing Caribbean music through YouTube is helping. I have to bring in my sun lamp to the office, and start using it. I don't get outside every day, especially when it's not sunny and warm, so I need that light to help my mood.

I was all set to go to GoodLife downtown, getting a past colleague's account that was grandfathered in at $25/mo, and then I find out that location is closing. *sigh* Well, at least I found out before I took over the account, but I'm back to square one in finding workouts that don't involve walking all the time. Like Shirley, my feet aren't good, especially after this last round of weight gain, and I'm struggling through pain when I take a lunch walk. I would have to walk at half my pace just to slow down the intensity of the pain, but it doesn't go away yet. I'll figure it out, I'm sure. And I have to bring my yoga mat to the office -- my direct co-worker has hers in her office, and does some at noon. I might join her on some days.

Has anyone seen the spiraled veggies at Superstore? Three veggies to choose from: butternut squash, sweet potatoes and beets. I've got the first 2 at home, and tonight, I'm going to try pouring sloppy joe on them, instead of using bread.

I'm glad we weren't the only ones to put up Christmas lights this past weekend. :-P

Spark it like you stole it!

Jo

Gingy.....Shirley!!!!!! So nice to hear from you. Don't feel the need to apoligize my love. Life gets busy sometimes and it gets in the way of things we want to do fir ourselves. You have been going through a lot with your health and your mom so take care of those things first, get yourself feeling better cause we ain't going nowhere. Xo hugs my friend.

Glenda girl you are a force to be recongned with. Your sure determination is admirable. Great job girl. Keep up the fantastic work.

Jo... Sam... How are you both making out???

I'm off today and work backshift tonight so once my father in law comes down and gets a coat of drywall done we may give it a go at painting a few walls. I have to tidy up around and get the tools that are no longer need brought back downstairs. Wish me luck ladies. Fingers crossed we can get a start at it today.

Have a great day.

Good morning team...

How is everyone doing ??

I'm sorry.. with this down cold .. repeating kicking me in the butt... and issues with computer/Ipad... I have been out of the "Loop"... so I am sending a note from work.

I did try to gym last week.. trainer suggested a less intense place and tried the equipment in my daughter's gym, then the next session at my building... the weight equipment at my place was like putting my body in pretzel form at times to get into the equipment.. :( Ugghhh it will not be my # 1 go to for sure.. lol :p Seems with all the twisting I tweaked my lower back.... geese Lousie !!

I hope everyone is doing well.. bet Lori -.. you will need a party soon to celebrate all the Renos..but just remember how much you will all LOVE it when everything is completed... good thing your brother is able to do the work..what a cost savings that is.

Hello ladies. It's been a busy when'd and I can't wait to go to bed.
The sale was only half a success. We made $80 but Rebecca raised an additional $30 for the IWK. So proud!!

The house renos went slower than expected. Ran into a few snags and hubby ended up with a migraine that sent him to his parents as he needs a hit bath and quiet to recover. It took the whole day.

None the less we did make some progres. Like weight loss it's going the right direction. Lol

Anyway ladies. I hope you all had a great weekend. I'm off to bed.

Very rainy and windy day today. I just did some work inside and watched some xmas movies...
I made a pork stir fry for today's and tomorrow's supper. Lots of peppers, mushrooms, carrots, yellow and green beans, etc. Yummy....

Heading off to bed now. I hope everyone else had a good weekend...

Hugs...

Lori, I hope the sale went well today. Sounds like your reno is coming along good.

Today was just a normal grocery shopping day and then a walk on the beach with my sidekick...

These dark evenings make me want to go to bed early, like at 5:30... I think I should have been a bear. I could eat lots then and hibernate....lol....

Have a good night peeps....

Hugs...

Jo I too am so glad things worked out for the better.

So I'm all set for the yard sale tomorrow. I've never done this before so I hope It goes well.
Renos are coming along. Most patch work is done on the walls so if the humidity stays down we might actually get the painting done. The tub is all in and the first coat of drywall went on. One more wall has to be fixed then we can start to plaster it. The closet is all pointed and got the shelving all cut so hoping to get that up tomorrow. Know we just need to buy a new door.

Ok it's almost midnight and 730 will come quick. Nighty night!!

Jo, I am glad that your new job is working out for you... That must be a relief...

Well I waited around for the furnace man today.. and he cancelled at the last minute... I was not a happy camper. So now the furnace service is rescheduled for the 30th. emoticon

Instead of wasting most of my day I just did things around the house that needed to be done.

Tomorrow is grocery day... Just need a few things though.. After that I hope to get out for a good walk weather permitting.

Have a good night peeps...

Hugs...

Hey gang!

Short work day for me today, since the heat pump installation is this afternoon.

Last night, I had a flat tire. I didn't make it very far, and I had 3 guys try to help, but in the end, I had to call the tire shop and ask them to bring a jack and one of my summer tires. This tire was one of the new ones I just bought, so it's at the shop, and I'll call them later today to see what's going on.

Glenda, Jungle Jim's was GOOOOOOOD! We had wings and shared a small salad and their version of cheese sticks. It was tough trying to track it, but I managed.

Lori, those renos must be almost done, right??? I don't know how you do it. :-P I know that I have to get the foundation looked at soon, since one end of the house is slowly sinking. And that's not going to be cheap.

Y'know what? I really like my job and my co-workers now. A lot. This was the best career move I could have made, and not struggled throughout the whole process.

There's a craft sale that ends today, and when Wifey comes home, we will go to see it. I'm looking to buy a loaf of booze-filled fruit cake, and there's one company I know of who makes them, and I'm hoping they're at the craft sale. BIL loves them, and he doesn't ask for much for Christmas, so I've made giving him that gift a bit of a tradition. :)

Lots to do this weekend, and hoping to squeeze in a little fun, too.

Spark it!!

Jo

Hey ladies. Checking in before heading to bed. I've had a few late nights as I worked all days this week. I'm trying to keep on top of stuff here but it's out of hand now. I have my dad and my dad in law coming tomorrow to help with some of the work as I really want to get the painting done in the living/ dining room. 2 more weekends till we usually put up our tree and our elf on the shelf comes. I have a funny feeling the tree will be late coming out this year. And I'm starting to feel the stress as the time crunch is sneaking up on me. I'm off till Monday so I'm hoping to put a good dent into the work on my days off. If you don't hear from me for a few days you know where I am and what I'm doing.
Have a great weekend ladies.

Jo, I wish I could afford a heat pump. Maybe next year... Had to get the roof done this year. How was Jungle Jims? I don't think I have ever eaten at one of them. Good job on doing your workout in your office, by the way..

Tomorrow I am going on another adventure with the SIL. Lord knows what we'll get into.. lol...
We are such rebels....

Well it's off to bed for me.. I need to get some rest for tomorrow....

It's good that we have a lot of stuff going on personally -- it helps us from getting bored. :-P

For supper tonight, Wifey & I are going to Jungle Jims, as she heads back to Moncton. She has 2 days of class this week, then back Friday evening. I haven't decided if I'll play Radio Bingo tonight ... depends what time I drive by the store to pick up cards.

Glenda, you mentioned your furnace .... we're getting a heat pump installed on Friday afternoon. I'm so excited!! I'm hoping it makes a big difference in the electric heat bill. We don't normally use a lot of baseboard heat, but the bedrooms don't get any heat from the wood pellet stove, because of where it is located. With the heat pump, the air flow will go to the bedrooms, and if it's not enough, a small fan will do it. The other expense that will be saved are the wood pellets -- we'll still use the stove, but not necessarily as a primary heat source.

I decided to do my workout in my office today, so I could listen to WATP. I've gotten so used to some of them, that I don't even have to look at the screen, I just need the beat and her prompts.

Later Gaters!

Jo

Hey Peeps!

That was a long weekend! Lots of good stuff came from it, including Wifey having an extra day off, so she hasn't left yet. :-P

My sciatica and hips are having a horrible time since last week. I'm still dealing with paperwork for Health Canada for my new prescription, so I still don't have anything to relieve the pain. Walking can be painful at times, which means I know I have to do something else for workouts. There's a GoodLife just behind the office building, and I'm going to ask my supervisor if I can work an extra half hour in order to get a little extra time to clean up at the gym.

I also started some probiotics for the undigested food problem. It says twice a day, but Holy!! I can't do that! I'll never poop soft again! I tried 2 nights in a row, and it acted pretty fast, and now I need to figure out if once a day or once every other day will be enough for that little pill. It wasn't cheap, either.... just over $1/pill, and I had 60 of them. And health insurance wouldn't cover it.

I'll be glad when we finally get a little ahead of the payday game. I just need it to stretch another couple days.... :-D

Hey ladies. With today being a holiday for some, my brother being one, I had to remind myself the entire day that today was Monday and not Sunday. It was another full weekend of renos. I did take a quick break from it all to do some shopping with @GINGYCAT40. There was a local shop that makes all natural bath bombs, soaps and such and I saw somethings there that I just had to have for Rebecca. And if you know anything about homemade local stuff it sometimes can quickly run out so I had to take a break and get it done. It was a nice break too, especially getting to spend time with one of my favourite people.
The renos ended a little earlier today as I had to work tonight. And now I'm ready for bed. I haven't track all weekend but I haven't eaten right either. So there it is. Now I'm off to bed. Good night ladies.

Good Monday evening Peeps... I hope you all had an awesome day.
It was a little chilly this morning. Frost had to be scrapped off my windshield. I don't feel I am ready for this. Oh well....
Had a good day at work. Came home and cooked some ground turkey up for supper. It wasn't too bad. I am not a real fan of ground turkey, even though I spiced it up. Ok for a change I guess.
How was everyone else's day?

Lori, that would be nice. It would be fun. I feel your pain from lifting my friend. This morning I put my winter tires, which are on rims, in my vehicle to take to the garage and have them installed. I swear I thought I was literally gonna bust my gut.... emoticon
Well tomorrow, if it is not too bad out, I really have to do some yard work.. I have bulbs to dig up, etc. It's just never ending...
Anyways peeps, keep The Spark.....

Wow you had a busy day too Glenda. And yes, it's time to make a plan. Maybe we could plan to go bowling some Saturday.
Tim, my hubbys best friend came down this week. He is getting ready to sell his house on Toronto so he rented a van and brought some things down to store. We decided to use his van to get rid of all our refuse so it saved us over $200 but let me tell ya my neck is sooo tired and sore from all that lifting. Before we did that I had gone for a walk. It was soo nice out today I walked for over 90 minutes. And if that wasn't enough I still went to Aqua Zumba. I'm tired sore and ready for bed.

Hope you all had a great day. Good night.

Busy day today. Errands, hair dresser, groceries. I also did a walk on the beach this morning. The first grocery store I went to had an incident. The fire alarm went off and it had to be evacuated. I almost finished getting my groceries but wasn't yet checked out so I had to leave it all behind. At that point I just left and went to another store. It is always an adventure when I go out, it seems.... lol...
Anyways I am off to relax now for a bit before bed....

Hey Shirley girl. I'm so glad to see you back. You're welcome for the note. Like I said no matter what's going on we are always here thinking about you and wondering how you're doing. I hope you keep in touch... Even if you're not "sparking". We all miss you when you're not here.

Jo thank you so much for all your words of encouragement .. And you're so right. I do know how this is done. I have to regain my momentum and focus on what needs to be done. Keeping my fingers out of the treat bowl will be a good start. Lol

Sam, hoes hubby doing. Nothing worst than being laid up and not being able to do things for yourself. I hope that he feels better soon so you guys can get back at your adventures.

Glenda. I know you're on your winter schedule now. You must be loving all your free time. If you had so much fun bowling maybe we could plan an afternoon out.

So I got some news today. As you all may remember Rebecca finally got her results from her genetics test and got a diagnosis. Well Wayne and I had blood work done to see if either of us are carriers of the genetic variance and I was the match. I have the exact same variance. Unfortunately this helps her in no way as I never had any symptoms however it gives me a lot of insight on why I'm having so many headaches as that is the number 1 symptom. So I guess I'll have a lot to talk about with my doctor.

Well ladies got to finish tracking. Check back tomorrow. Good night ladies.

Is that... Shirley?? *hugs* We missed you! Be extra careful with the colds this year. The last few years have been hard on the lungs for a lot of people who started off the fall season with a cold. Be extra careful about pneumonia and bronchitis, if you don't already.

Glenda, bowling and now running a race?! You amaze me. :-D

Lori, you know how this is done. You make a plan to help you avoid the sweets and salts. Out of sight out of mind works really well for me, because I do forget what's in the cupboards. I opened up the pantry and found some chips that I had bought for an evening about a week ago, and I hadn't even opened them because I forgot about them. Chocolate lives in the freezer, so it's a harder texture to handle. There's Nibs in the cupboard, but that's not really my thing so I don't get into them unless Wifey is. And I try not to keep junk food in the fridge, because I go to that appliance WAY too much. That's how I've set it up. Now that's not to say I don't get into the junk -- I just do it less often because I forget about them. So, how about this: Discover when you are not hungry or craving food, and notice what's about you. Are you elbow-deep in renos (as in, your arms are covered in plaster kind of thing), or playing outside with Kiddo & DogFace? Figure out what stops you from binging, and then try setting up situations that make it harder for you to fail. You like pizza? Is it the crust (gluten & carbs) that is your favourite, or is it the toppings? And not that it's for everyone, but since I've been on Zoloft and Zyban together, I don't get the cravings nearly as bad or as often. My brain also feels better, and that's what the med is supposed to do for me.

Sam, how's the Hubby doing? Is he at least not crawling to pee now?

My Doc's appointment went well yesterday. She doesn't have a license to prescribe, but she gave me a diagnosis, and referred me to a local specialist who is licensed and who can see me regularly. Doc was very cool about it all, especially since I'd been honest & upfront with her for quite some time about it. So diagnosis of degenerative disc disease, sciatic pain in right leg and occasional bursitis in right hip are what will get me a prescription. The Virtual Appointment is at 6pm, and that should be all of what I need to do. I'm happy with how it all turned out.

And on that note, I'm heading out to Costco for cat food. Apparently the new brand without brewer's yeast bought for the oldest cat is giving the youngest cat dry skin, and he's been scratching non-stop for almost a week. We figured it out last night, and since there wasn't much left of the new food, I'm going back to the Kirkland brand that they all loved and all could digest. Give me the strength to buy NOTHING else!!!

Spark it all night long!

Jo

Jo chips and chocolate are my weaknesses, always have been. I just got to learn to not over indulge. Soooo hard to do, and did you gals know there's a new Lindt chocolate out now. Lord help me. Lol

Glenda great job on wanting to do the bluenose marathon. Last year I signed up through work and I love it. I will do that again this year. I would love to do the 10k. Not sure if my sidekick will go that far as she has some back issues. Regardless works pays for it either way so I'll be going no matter what!!!

I do know people who have done the sole sisters walk. I've never participated in that one. Don't know much about it. Would be fun though.

Well today I did my Zumba. The past few weeks our instructor has brought in a new friend of hers who recently moved into town. Lord almighty that girl got energy. Lol she works us hard and tonight was no exception. So I'm off to bed. Last night I made the mistake of having tea at supper and I was awake till 440 am this morning and up again at 6 30 so I'm beyond tired.
Check back tomorrow. Good night!!

Jo, I went bowling with two co-workers. I would love to go again, even if my butt does get sore... lol.
I hope the Doc visit was a success for you. It must be difficult with the nerve pain.

Well I think the two co-workers may join me for the Bluenose Marathon and the Sole Sisters one. They seemed interested anyways. I will register soon. It is something to start working on..

Off to bed now...

Hugs to all....

Hey gang!

Glenda - I used to work at a bowling centre, and yes, one butt cheek and probably your thigh is achy. Did you go with a group of friends?

Lori - taking time for you is difficult, especially when we're expected to be bright-eyed & bushy-tailed all the time. As for old habits creeping in, you know they're there -- now's the time to find ways to at least slow down the old bad habits. This winter, because Wifey is in Moncton, I'm going to work on portion control, since that seems to be out of whack.

Seeing the doctor today -- I need to know if medical cannabis will help nerve pain. I've done some research, and it can relieve the pain. She may increase the gabapentin instead, but I'm going to push for this.

Meanwhile, noon is creeping up on me, and it's time to figure out what today's workout will be.

Spark on!

Jo

Lol I laughed when I read your post Glenda as I bowled last year with Rebecca and I was so sore the next few days. It's looks so easy but certainly is not. Glad to hear you had fun.
We had a super late lunch today and supper was even later. Actually it was more of a snack as we were all too tired to eat. Lol
Heading to bed shortly as I can feel the sting in my lids I'm that tired. Good night ladies.

Housework catch up day... I was going to do some yard work but my muscles are a wee bit sore today from bowling. Go figure? It was fun though and I hope to do it again soon.

I am going to have an omelet for supper with some veggies on the side. Nice and quick...

Working on my water intake for the day and getting my steps in....

Keep rockin' it ladies... We can do this....

Hugs...

Hey ladies. So the bulk of the stuff is picked up for tomorrow. Hubby worked all day and now is gone to do backshift tonight. It gonna be hard for him to sleep in the morning with all the pounding going on.

Sam I hear ya on the women thing. I had issues for years but with a good quality bath salts I should be ok as long as I don't overdue it. I don't bath often but when I do I want to enjoy it and I never could in my old tub so I expect this one will do wonders for me and my neck.

So on a neither note I weighed in today and only gained .5 pound. I was shocked as I have been stuffing my face with all the wrong things. Maybe it will show up next week.
Jo I do take a water bottle to work and normally I'm pretty good. I feel like I've derailed a little and I'm just trying to find my groove again. With all the renos going on I find that I have no me time. I guess once I get through the renos it will be better but I'm just afraid that I'm falling back into old habits.... Which is not making time for me.

Oh well I'll figure it out.

Good night ladies.

Jo, yes I am sometimes a night hawk and then at other times I want to hit the hay really early. I am a very light sleeper as well. A mouse could toot in my neighbors house and I swear it would wake me up...lol...

Today the roofers came and did half my roof. They will finish, I hope, tomorrow. Marty was not a happy puppy. Way too much noise for his liking.

I also have to look into getting a big tree removed from my back yard and I need a new back door for the house. Oh it never ends.... There is always something to be done...

Marty and I just got back from a brisk walk and now I am going on my TC.

Have a nice night peeps.....

Hugs...

Hi Jo

The company is called Pruvit. It's out of the state's so prices are in US. If you are interested I can set you up with a trial pack, which cost roughly $35 cdn. To buy is a bit pricey but if you set up a monthly smart ship you get 22% off. There is also a referal system in place where u can earn discouts if people you know use the product. I find that it's making a huge difference in my energy.

I seriously would never have even tried it if it wasn't for my own cousin recommending it. She is a runner (after doing the Boston Marathon three times...plus many more here in Canada). She is a breast cancer survivor and started ketones after her treatments. She swears by them for energy and over all health. (Obviously the weight loss isn't an issue for her!) She had muscle issues and pain left from the chemo and radiation and it's almost completely gone. Private message me if you want price information.

Sam

Hey gals!

Overcast day here in Fredericton, and warm! I went for a walk outside and I can't get over how mild it was!

Lori, you will simply melt in that tub. Unlike Sam, I could *do* baths, but I'm a shower girl. However, it's hard to use Epsom salts in the shower. :-P I'm still working on that.

Fun tidbit from this morning -- I was doing the 250 steps from FitBit, and decided to do some side steps like in WATP. There was a coworker at the end of the hall, and she looked at what I was doing, and she had the biggest grin on her face. "Walk Away The Pounds, are ya?" she says. "Yep," I said, "and if you weren't retiring in a month, I'd find a boardroom and haul you in there with me." I think my next mission is to actually look for boardrooms and find a DVD player, even if it's a stand alone, because I know I won't walk outside much during the snowy season. I have grippies for my boots & shoes, so only if it's necessary will I go walking on city sidewalks.

With all the walking I've been doing at lunchtime, last week, I felt great, and decided I wanted to go faster. So, I tried jogging again. I'm not sure when that stupid thought entered my head, and I think I've re-aggravated the bursitis in my hip, or compressed one of the disks in my back just a bit more, making my sciatic pain feel worse. I see the doctor on Tuesday, and I'll have to mention it to her.

Today is Sandwich Day. What's your favourite? I've got many, but one I've recently rediscovered is PB & Fluff. I had to hide the jar of Fluff so I wouldn't make 3" sandwiches. I don't eat a lot of sandwiches, so when I do, I try to make them really delicious or really low-fat and full of fibre.

Speaking of carbs, Sam, what is the brand of ketones you're using? I did a little reading this week, and I'm almost ready to get back into it. Hope Hubby feels much better very soon!

Glenda, are you a nighthawk?? you seem to be posting really late sometimes. :-)

Shirley.... oh SHIIIIIIIIIIRLEYYYYYY! Where are you girl? I miss you.

Keep your head out of the clouds and your mouth away from sugar.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Jo

Hey ladies!

I can't do baths unfortunately, unless it just plain water with no soaps, or anything at all. Even hot tubs and pools are hit and miss! The joys of being a woman!

Hubby is still flat on his back. He has been on meds since Tuesday and finally felt a little relief this morning. Well he could shuffle to the bathroom instead of having to crawl. I might even get him in the shower this evening as he hasn't been able too since Tuesday!

So this weekend will be a quiet one for us I think. Good time to de-clutter and start some xmas cleaning maybe? We will see haha.

Have a great day all!

Well ladies. It's official. My house is now a total disaster. Lol thankfully my brother is coming over for the entire weekend to put a good dent into what needs to be done. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. I didn't actually sit in the tub at the store as my neck was really sore so when it came in today it didn't take me long to try it out. I think I heard the angels sing. I totally am going to be a bath person again. Candles and a good bubble bath is all that is needed. I can't wait. Yippie!!!

Well off to bed ladies. Hope you all had a great day!!

Lord I pray us all with Halloween treats. I have not stopped munching since last night. I just can't seem to stop. And speaking of stopping, I took a bit of a break today after work. I parked a bit further today so I could get a walk in cause I decided to not workout today. I'm tired and I just needed a break. Tomorrow the tub is being delivered and I hope I got the space enough in the living room to hold it till the weekend. Lol

Congrats on the progress there Sam. I'm glad it's working for you.

Jo , sounds like your fretting because you know change is coming. We are here for you girl.

Glenda, take it easy on yourself with all that raking. Sounds like you got your work cut out for you.

Shirley, are you ever coming back to say hi. We miss ya girlfriend. Xo

Now it's time for bed.

Good night y'all.

Oh, the day after Halloween.... desk drawers filled with goodies that didn't go out with the kids last night. :-)

I didn't even try to track yesterday, and I'm trying to get rid of some of the chocolate that landed on my desk. And it's yummy, too. :( I'm not even sure if I can track today, it's that messed up.

We had no kids at the door, and I was ready for this by only having some pop in cans on the ready. It was a nice quiet night. The rural community had a "Trunk & Treat" night at the hall, so most kids went there.

The closer My Wife is to starting school, the more we both become a little more anxious. Neither of us is looking forward to being apart during the week, but some sacrifices have to be made to pursue a dream. I'm holding up a good front, and she is too. It's just that unknown....

Sunny and cooler weather has finally settled upon Fredericton, so today's walk outside will probably be a little more bundled up. I am trying hard not to overdo the speed, since I think I aggravated the bursitis on my hip again. I feel like a walking pharmacy, too, between stinking like Voltaren, taking extra Tylenol, and trying to drink enough water to keep the other meds from dehydrating me. I'm still trying to figure out where and when I will do yoga, because I'm pretty sure it won't be at the house.

I feel like I'm fretting over a lot of nothings, and I know it's all related to college next week. I think I really need some yoga to practice mindfulness. I don't have that video with me at work, so I'll have to pick that up.

Alrighty..... a walk for lunch and no chocolate.... should be interesting. :-)

Jo

It's November...WOW

I can't believe it is November already...but here it is! Time goes back this weekend so it will make it seem that much worse. The weather is holding out pretty good though so that is a bonus.

Hubby pulled a muscle in his back yesterday so I took him into emergency dept last evening when I got off work at 5. We didn't get out fo there until 9 but we were seen too pretty quickly so that was good. After a couple of shots of painkiller we went home. He is off work now until next Friday. Lovely.

The keytone drinks seem to be making a difference in energy that's for sure. I've always been a "must have 8 hours sleep" person..now 6 is plenty. I keep waiting for the morning I wake up dragged out because I haven't been getting 8 hours but so far it's not happening. I actually feel rested getting up. I'm down 2.5 lbs as well so the appetite is disappearing as well.

Anyway I have to get some work done! Chat soon team and keep up the fantastic work!
