Hi ladies,

I had a pretty good day yesterday overall, other than my lower belly giving me pangs and pains here & there. I think it's a symptom of overdoing certain movements while working out, especially with things like forward bends and knee ups, and sometimes kicks if I'm doing them too high. It's a cloudy-rainy kind of day, so I chose my morning break walk inside the mall today. It made it easier to do since there are only 2 very small sets of stairs, and the rest is flat surface.

I checked the schedule for yoga, and I think I missed it last week. Bummer. I thought it was this week, so that's my bad. I'll probably go to the gym tomorrow and do some light activity to replace it... unless I can finally wrap my head around doing yoga by video.

I've been trying to find all the bottles of Advil I had placed around my environments, and I found one in my desk at work today. So it's going back home, and in a bottle with the rest of them. DW doesn't use them, so we may end up being a Tylenol kind of house.

Another half hour of work until the lunchtime workout. I'm actually looking forward to it!

Jo

So glad everyone is on the mend and feeling better! Team health is so very important!

So today is my Friday as we are leaving in the morning to go to my parents house until Tuesday. Tracking will probably be a minimum but my goal is to continue my 10,000 steps per day. Getting my walk in the mornings certainly makes this goal more attainable. I actually enjoy it somewhat haaha!

Check back later. Spark Strong team!

Jo, glad you are doing better now that your meds are adjusted. Mudding sounds like a lot of fun. Grab those moments when you can girl.

Well I am pretty tired tonight. After work, I had supper, then went for a walk on the beach and then came home and went on the TC. Hopefully, I will sleep better tonight.

Hugs to all you Sparkies....

Night...

Hey Ladies,

Thanks for asking about me. I'm doing much better with the meds adjustment. There's still one more pill to really kick in within the next 2 weeks, and that should help with sleeping.

DW (dear wife) & I went mudding Sunday & Monday evenings. I didn't even bother washing my truck. I have close to an inch of dried mud on my step runners, windows have mud streaks, and we had a lot of fun.

Costco - Yeah, I'm terrified of that place too! Lately, I'll send DW with a very short list of items (dog food, cat litter, eggs) so that *I* am not tempted. We went on Sunday, and I was amazed that it was less than $160. And like Glenda said, when shopping for 2, it's easy to get too much food, and the one that breaks my heart the most to throw out are fruits & veggies. So we tend to buy fruit at Sobeys or Superstore, and things that don't rot at Costco. What's harder to do is remind DW that we are not a family of 5 with 3 growing boys, we are 2 women who need to watch the food intake.

As for the weight.... so I'm tracking 3 days/week for the summer, and I'll be happy if I don't gain. That's it. That's my goal for the summer. I still have a fair amount of body pain, and like most women, I'm good at ignoring it - most times. I tend not to eat chocolate during the week, which is now FANTASTIC!!! I'll have some on the weekends, but I'm not being careful on the weekends either. I'm getting a little better at reaching for fruit instead of sugary snacks -- and there aren't many of those left in the house. My goal is to make it as quick to grab as a packaged snack. Wash the fruit that morning, leave it in a bowl in the fridge if necessary, and when sugar cravings start, go for the fruit. I'm still working on the veggies. :-P

It's almost quitting time for me. Better go pee now since there's construction on the way home.

Jo

Good afternoon team.... Lori nice to read your post and glad you are having an awesome vacation.. enjoy time sure flies by.. sure love seeing your pics too. Congrats again on the hike to you and sam !!! emoticon emoticon

Sam, thanks the past few days I have been feeling much better... fingers crossed the bug has left me.. I felt like I was seasick and on a boat with a crazy headache etc with it.

Jo - how are you feeling these past few days?

Glenda.. hope you are having some time to rest with your busy week behind you. I must say I welcomed the cooler temps yesterday - my place was much more comfortable for sure.

Well I just wanted to say I welcomed another Non-Scale victory yesterday... Had my BMI measured again last night and after two weeks it was down a whole number !! That is where I need to focus..as much as I like to see the scale move... which it has been even though for me that is slow !!

I am also going to post a link in a separate post that the Team may find helpful. It is a technique that I have heard about but was mentioned to me last night by my trainer that I should check out and incorporate for my self care... EFT Tapping... this is very good for headaches / stress/ anxiety etc.. many videos can be found on you tube.

Well team.. time to get some exercise in... Spark Later !!!

Hey ladies. Just wanted to stop in to say hello. We have been pretty busy since we arrived. I have not been posting but still doing the work. I have not tracked a morsel of food but I'm still weighing and monitoring what I'm putting in. I know I have some weght on but I expected it. Ive exercised everyday except yesterday. We did go out but it wasn't anything major.
I'm having an awesome trip and can't believe we have less than a week left.
Anyway we are off to visit my aunt and then off to our old camping grounds. Can't wait to go for a swim in those waters. Hope everyone is doing great. I'll get caught up with you all when I get back home to N.S. emoticon

Morning Team!

Glenda it's been a lot cooler here in NL as well. Last week we did the Man in the Mountain hike and it was 27C...It was only 18 C when Lori and I did it on Monday. BIG difference. We need rain pretty bad and it's calling for it on Friday and Saturday. I can't figure out why the rain gods can't get it through their heads it needs to rain Tuesdays and Wednesdays at night. lol

We have our annual Pig Roast this weekend in the Valley and hopefully the rain holds off for that. It's also a Codroy Valley Come Home Year so we should get a lot more people. So if I'm missing for a couple of days that's where I am!

When I lived in AB I went to Costco all the time. Loved it. Here in NL I have to drive 7 hours to get to one. Doesn't happen very often that's for sure.

Jo how are ya doing? Meds working? Hope so!

Shirley you feeling better?

Shirley, yes I guess you can spend lots of money at Costco. When my LH and I used to go, he would buy so much there, and half the time we never ate a quarter of the stuff he would buy.. I look back at that now and think, such a waste....
Yes we sure did need the rain this morning.. but it was a lot cooler too..

This evening I went and got a mop crop.. It feels so much better now. emoticon

How are the rest of you peeps doing?

I hope you all had a wonderful Tuesday...

Went with my daughter and her fiance..so a couple of things we split on.. I wanted Nut Butter, Epsom Salts and Laundry and Dishwasher pods mostly.... I knew the Epsom Salts and Nut butter prices at Costco are great.

A nice cool rainy morning.. so nice..and we sure need the rain..

I was told approx. 2 cups minimum in a tub.. make sure to have a mat in tub as it can make the tub slippery... drink water before and after tub...

EPSOM SALT BATH .... SEE BELOW :

EPSOM SALT USES AND BENEFITS
What is Epsom salt?
Epsom salt, named for a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England, is not actually salt but a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. Long known as a natural remedy for a number of ailments, Epsom salt has numerous health benefits as well as many beauty, household, and gardening-related uses.

Studies have shown that magnesium and sulfate are both readily absorbed through the skin, making Epsom salt baths an easy and ideal way to enjoy the associated health benefits1. Magnesium plays a number of roles in the body including regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function, and helping to prevent artery hardening. Sulfates help improve the absorption of nutrients, flush toxins, and help ease migraine headaches.

What are the health benefits of using Epsom salt?
ULTRA EPSOMŽ SALT by SaltWorks, the most trusted brand of high quality, pharmaceutical-grade Epsom salt available.

The wonders of Epsom salt have been well known for hundreds of years and, unlike other salts, has beneficial properties that can soothe the body, mind, and soul. Some of the countless health benefits include relaxing the nervous system, curing skin problems, soothing back pain and aching limbs, easing muscle strain, healing cuts, treating colds and congestion, and drawing toxins from the body. One of the simplest ways to ease stress and stress-related problems is to soak in a tub full of hot water with a few cups of Ultra EpsomŽ Salt. Some of the notable benefits of Epsom salt include:

Eases stress and relaxes the body

Stress drains the body of magnesium and increases levels of adrenaline. When dissolved in warm water, Epsom salt is absorbed through the skin and replenishes the level of magnesium in the body. The magnesium helps to produce serotonin, a mood-elevating chemical within the brain that creates a feeling of calm and relaxation. Research shows that magnesium also increases energy and stamina by encouraging the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the energy packets made in the cells. Experts believe that bathing with Epsom salt at least three times a week helps you to look better, feel better and gain more energy. Magnesium ions also help you relax and reduce irritability by lowering the effects of adrenaline. They create a relaxed feeling, improve sleep and concentration, and help muscles and nerves to function properly.

Relieves pain and muscle cramps

An Epsom salt bath is known to ease pain and relieve inflammation, making it beneficial in the treatment of sore muscles, bronchial asthma, and migraine headaches. In addition, it has been known to heal cuts and reduce soreness from childbirth. Mix a thick paste of Epsom salt with hot water and apply to get soothing comfort. Try soaking your aching, tired (and smelly) feet in a tub of water with half a cup of our Ultra Epsom Salt. Epsom salt softens skin and will even neutralize foot odor.

Helps muscles and nerves function properly

Studies show that Epsom salt can help regulate electrolytes in your body, ensuring proper functioning of the muscles, nerves, and enzymes. Magnesium is also known to be critical in the proper use of calcium, which serves as a main conductor of the electric impulses in your body.

Helps prevent hardening of arteries and blood clots

Epsom salt is believed to improve heart health and help prevent heart disease and strokes by improving blood circulation, protecting the elasticity of arteries, preventing blood clots, and reducing the risk of sudden heart attack deaths.

Makes insulin more effective

Proper magnesium and sulfate levels increase the effectiveness of insulin in the body, and can help to lower the risk or severity of diabetes.

Relieves constipation

Good morning team.

Thanks Sam.. I'm just trying to listen to my body... been home for the last couple of days and stomach still feels a bit off.. fingers crossed today it will all be gone !! So sorry to hear that your DH's 20 yr old daughter is also having a hard time :(( But glad to read that the appointment is a couple weeks away and not many many months - which is typical here. The mental health system here is beyond poor.. I have niece in the system now and it is so very very sad that there is not much help or one has to wait for months. I hope the family can work together as this is very helpful. I know from family experience that medication and speaking to a professional (weekly) is important. Sending hugs that she gets the medical help and is feeling better very very soon !!! emoticon Hey any pics of that Jungle ?? lol Sounds amazing !!

Jo How are you doing today ?? I hope the sleep improves... my sleep has been chopped up since the early 90's ... some nights I can be away more than several times... it's a real pain in the arse.. lol I will find some info on Epsom Salt Baths and post it here in a separate posting.. is awesome for aches/pains/ even headaches / consitipation... after a hard workout .. or a achy body with a flu etc.. its freaking AWESOME !!!!! emoticon

Glenda - are you still enjoying this beautiful weather and your family visiting.. the weather has been something else .... maybe a bit humid.. but the past couple of days a bit better.. miss you sparking !!! emoticon

Lori - how's the ROCK !!! ??? Hope you are all h aving a wonderful time.. Miss you

xoxo

Have a sparky day team !!!

Hey team!

Jo so glad you are feeling better! My DH's 20 yr old daughter is having a hard time right now as well. She has been to emerg twice now having an emotional breakdown. Last night they gave her adavan. She is referred to a psychiatrist or physiologist not sure which, but apparently that appointment is a couple of weeks away. He is at a bit of a loss on how to help her right now as she lives with her mother. There is a bit of a history there so it's not as easy as everyone working together. I just sit on the side lines and try to support DH as much as I can but sometimes I have to walk away before I voice opinions better left unsaid.

Shirley hope you feel better!

Hi to Glenda and Lori!!

I'm out in the yard today weeding my jungle. There is a nice breeze and the temps are low 20s so it's not so bad. Hard on the bad shoulder though so I'm taking breaks. May only do half today.

I popped on the scale this morning and was down two pounds! I was pretty pumped. I've upped my protien intake to over 100 g per day. We will see if it's a trend that will continue!

Anyway time to get back to the jungle! Chat soon Sparkers!

Hey gang!

Yeah, change of pill in Zyban is already working. Zoloft hasn't yet, but I'm hoping it will by the long weekend.

Weekend plans include going to a friend's place tonight for supper and movie watching and some charades, tomorrow is date night at the movies, and hoping Sunday is a quiet day.

My lower belly has been sore a lot this week. I backed off the forward bends to the floor in yoga, but it's still achy. It could be incision locations inside. I see my doc in 2 weeks, and if it still bothers, she'll know about. Meanwhile, trying to avoid bending over is tough. There's always stuff on the floor to pick up. :-)

My Wife's garden is finally doing well. Cukes are loving the trellises and tomatoes were pruned today. If seems putting salt all around the edges of the garden chased away the slugs. Peppers look nice too.

Ok, off to see Toddylicious and his 2 Chihuahuas!

Jo

Hey Team!

Lori glad to see you made it to the Island! Moose is actually very good for you as it is very lean protein. If you search moose in the database it do come up.

We haven't decided what we are doing yet...calls for thunder showers today and tomorrow. We were supposed to go camping so we will see what it's like this evening. The temperatures have dropped a lot. It was only 14 this morning when I drove to work.

What's everyone's plans for the weekend?

Hello ladies. We made it. Weather was the pits as we got of the boat. Foggy, rain and very humid. I'm beat tired so I didn't track anything.... Not that I know how to track a moose burger.lol
I did get for a walk with my daughter and neice. I swear I thought the sky was going to open up on us and pour but instead this is what happened. Hopefully it shows up straight.

We got a sprinkle of rain...and calling for showers off and on all weekend. As much as I want to go camping we really need the moisture. There is a fire ban on because of the extremely dry conditions so it is much needed. Got to have a campfire!

Jo I'm so glad you are moving forward and getting things straightened out. You do what ever you need to do to get better! And we will all be here whenever you need us!

Glenda you get some rest!!

Shirley you need rest as well. Summer time Flu is the worse!

Lori...if you see this...message me when you are settled and have your family taken care of. We will make some plans.

Chat soon ladies!

Hey Ladies,

I had half my message typed up, and I accidentally closed my browser... and lost it all. So I'll try to recap instead of being long winded.

Saw the doctor on Monday, and I'm back on the anti-anxiety pill (Zyban purple pill) that I had before Christmas, and Zoloft for night time. Still not getting a lot of sleep, but it's coming, I can tell.

The counselor called this afternoon, so I'll call back after I'm done work. There's an opening tomorrow morning, but my calendar for Thursday is too full to add that too. So it might be Friday when I get to visit for the first time. It's a new counselor to me, and this time it's a man, so we'll see how that goes.

Went to Oulton College in Moncton yesterday for college prep, and we had a pretty good day. Didn't visit any family, but we did go to the Tidal Bore park. The Petticodiac River wasn't out enough, and high tide was much later than we had planned to stay. I'm looking forward to seeing the river come in as tidal waves one after another fill the banks.... I've never seen it myself. It was a nice walk, and we saw the RCMP monument for the 3 officers who were killed in the Justin Bourque shootout 3 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long already.

Thanks for the support. I don't feel as fearful and anxious about this coming winter being alone, and I'll probably lean on all you after the Christmas holidays. Meanwhile, my spirit feels like it's been lifted, and I can handle more.

Here's hoping the trend continues.

Jo

Good afternoon everyone.

I have workplace fever...it's 28 C outside and I have a sweater on because it's cold in the building. I should be on a beach somewhere.

Lori so sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. It's such a sad way to start your vacation in NL. BUTTTT good news is that the weather is looking very promising for the weekend. Monday looks to be a good day to tackle the Man in the Mountain.

Shirley...success is in the doing...not necessarily in the results! YOU ARE DOING IT!

Jo how are you honey?

Glenda we miss you!!

We are supposed to have a Lions International meeting tonight at 7.30...me thinks I might miss this one. I can't see me sitting inside all day at work to get off and two hours later go sit inside again. Doesn't seem right t miss the sunshine.

Anyway ladies, work calls. Chat sooon

OK I'm gonna try not to forget anyone.

Shirley you are one of the sweetest, kindest and most supportive people I've ever met. I was sad just reading about it. He is lucky to have family that cares so much. I hope everything turns around for him soon. As for the scale, I say fooie on that and stick to what works for you and that's the glorious measuring tape. Congrats on that girl. I'd be so happy to lose the inches and gain strength. I may have lost 30 pounds but I'm not a bit stronger than I was 6 months ago so food for thought. Great job girl. So proud that you are pushing through even though you not seeing the results where you want.

Sam, for some who just climbed up that mountain your looking pretty cool looking. Your hair looks just fine and that view speaks for itself. Great job on the steps girl!! You rocked it!!! So how was it anyway. All clear.... Of bears that is!!! Lol Hope Harold's brother enjoyed it and I hope you got it in you to go again. I'm so excited!!!

Jo, my darling Jo..I'm so proud of you for making that phone call. I know it takes a lot to take that step so now I hope you get some resolution soon. Take care.

Glenda, I can't wait for you to come back. I'm missing you girl. I cant wait to hear all about your visit. I hope you are having the best time ever!!!!

Ok so my news is great aunt Una passed away today. We won't make it home to the vivitations but hopefully we will get there in time for the funeral. My heart is breaking for the family. Dealing with death is just so hard.

Tonight I've been packing and doing laundry and was trying to keep my kid focused on the task at hand..... Packing!!! She had me going in circles. Lol now I'm ready for bed

Good night ladies. Xo

Hey ladies,

I'm about to head out to the doctor's for my appointment. Although yesterday was fun, it was a struggle to keep it together after a few hours. Today is worse. I didn't make it in to work this morning, but I have to go in this afternoon to get some stuff done that no one else is working on.

We awoke this morning to no power, and that just finished it for me this morning. In the middle of a hot flash and no shower.... so a couple meltdowns later, Wife heads out to work, power comes back on, I've had a shower, emailed the boss about this morning, and called EAP.

Sam, great pics and it looks like you had a wonderful time!

Glenda, yeah, the yard has been one of my best plateau busters.... as long as I'm able to get out there. :-)

Shirley, you are such a wonderful and supportive person. I hope your brother and his family are able to get back on their feet.

Lori, the one thing I can tell you about menopause that I struggle with the most -- enough quality sleep. Prior to the hysterectomy, I was getting close to 7 hrs sleep every night, sometimes 8. Unless it's on the weekends, I don't get much more than 6 now, and I'm seeing a pattern where the hours are coming down to 5 1/2 more and more. It's difficult to be resilient when the mind lacks rest. Be sure to get good restful sleep, and you'll find it easier to manage the day.

Time to head out, I'm hoping for meds that make a difference.

Jo

Hey everyone! We had an awesome weekend here in Newfie! It was our summer I bet haha! The weather was fablous and we took advantage and hit the trails.

Saturday we did Cedar Cove and Bottle Cove in Lark Harbour. That really has to be one of my favoriate places.

Sunday we did a hike called Man in the Mountain. It was a tough one in the heat for sure.

You will have to excuse the hair do...the heat and sweat and wind isn't meant for good pics!

So step total for two days was Sat - 18575 & Sun 19709 = 38284! I didn't realize that I needed less than 300 steps to break the 20,000 mark!

Anyway...I have to get some meal planning done at some point today. Have a great one all!

Hello ladies. Just popping in for a quick minute. The hustle is going to start, I have so much to do to get ready for Wednsday and I've had a little to much to drink at the family bbq today emoticon lol

But it was really nice though just to kick back and relax with everyone before we leave.
I went for my walk this morning. Rebecca rode her bike and Tim took the dog. It took an hour today and the poor dog was dragging her butt in the end. She is so out of shape I felt so bad. I have to get over my fear of walking her and take her down more often to get her in shape too.

Anyway. on a sad note the family reunion has been cancelled. Moms aunt is now in the hospital in palliative care. It's so sad..
I'm still looking forward to going home but I have a feeling we may be going to a funeral.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Xo

Good Morning Happy Sunday Team...

I had a pretty full day yesterday .. started with mopping floors..and then headed into my Mom's. Was a tough day as one of my brothers is very upset ..his wife has not been working for a year has medical issues and now the bills are piling up. I told him I would do whatever I could to help he was so upset it broke my heart :( Saying he did not want to be a burden... I told him "thats what family and friends are for .. to be there in all times the good and bad, and that life sometimes just sucks.. but will get through it" Needless to say I ended up stayin at Moms as she wanted to talk... I was up alot last night unable to sleep .. sometimes the mind does not want to shut off.

Today I'm going to start with exercise and laundry.... lol then it will be a day to plan meals/food for the week.

I am having a bit of a struggle as always with the scale... for me the numbers either don't move or stay the same or just move .5 or 1 lb if I am lucky. I have to try to remember that it is not all about the scale.. hard when I have alot of weight to loose :(

I did figure I would take some measurements - its been a few months since I measured.. so I am down over 8 inches in total.. so I will have to focus on that !!!!

Jo - love the pics.. and holy frigg what a workout in the yard.. You Go Girl !!! emoticon

Lori, hope you guys had a great time at the wedding.. the weather certainly co operated..it was a beautiful day/evening..and btw .. YOU LOOKED SMOKING HOT in that Family picture... just saying !!! emoticon

Sam.. wow wow wow on the steps... what were you doing - Hiking ? Or chasing the hubby around.. lol ??? emoticon

Glenda.. bet you are having a blast with your family down..... :) emoticon

Well team.. i Have to get into the laundry and exercising here.

Have a SPARKY SUNDAY !!!!

Good evening ladies.

Jo looks like you and your wife are very busy. I look forward to seeing what it looks like when it's finished!

Sam ... Wow !!! Great job on the steps. I had a low battery and had mine plugged in as I rushed out the door to the wedding. Not like I did much walking. It was an outdoor wedding in their back yard and no dance to be had. So disappointing.

Glenda. I'm sure you're spending every moment with your grand babies and daughter. Hope your are all enjoying your time together.

Shirley. I hope you had a great day.

I'm beat going to finish tracking and get to bed!!

Goodnight ladies.

Ok, that worked and upright.

Next one is My Wife working on her rock garden. I think it looks better in the back yard.

I will get another angle that also shows the rocks and the work we did today. She did quite a bit earlier this week, about 3 hours of snipping weeds and pushing rocks. We have 4 left to move into position then she has to decide which perennials will go there.

We both wear the jackets, she still complains, but with a backyard like that and so many tick diseases out there, we need to stay safe.

I smiled and put in muscle and moved rocks and jammed my pinkie and sweat like a woman working hard and raked the hay she had cut earlier and tried to help start the bonfire and there were 3 restarts and a crowbar and some cussing. I didn't dare laugh for fear of wasting the last of my spit and I was water-bottle hunting.

Tonight at the movies, and Despicable Me 3 is cute, but it was less about the bad guy story line and more about the characters. Also opens to DM4 ideas, and that one should be a better story. Butter-free popcorn but I didn't have much. Stopped at grocery store before movie and fojnd some chocolate and crunchy junk food and sour gummies. Pffft! They're not very sour. I didn't even pucker. :-)

Heading to bed shortly. Friend's birthday party is by the beach, 3hrs away. Mom is on the way, so we will stop in for a bit. She just got home from emergency, and I have to remind her to behave till MW gets there for school. :-) I sure hope the water is warm tomorrow!

Good morning team.

Glenda... I think I can see your smile all the way across the Bridge !!! emoticon Enjoy every min with your family.... weather is supposed to co operate.... Enjoy !!!

Sam - how are things on the Rock.. sun is shining here.. I thought I heard rain for today, but so far it is beautiful !!! Enjoy your weekend.

Jo- how are you doing ? I hope you are feeling better. Have you ever turned to Yoga and Meditation ? I have heard from alot that they say this has made a huge impact on their health and well being. I went to a yoga class last week.. it was challenging but great. I now try to do yoga and meditation at home. Lot of great things to find on line. I use a sleep meditation at bedtime.. its for sleep and its great.. emoticon

Lori.... hope your headache has disappeared. Here is a question - what kind of pillow do you use ? I know if the head is not properly positioned it can cause crazy neck and head pain.
CONGRATS on breaking your plateau !! Whoo hoooooo emoticon I sure wish my numbers would move like yours :((( I get so GD discouraged when I get on the scales emoticon No matter what I do I am lucky if I get .5 lbs a week and that is not even consistent. I was down .5 - 1 lb when the doctor weighed me yesterday (but that was from 2 weeks ago) - he said it was good...at least I was not up.. but I know... its just that I have been working so freaking hard... ugggh....but on a positive note my blood pressure was down 10 points in 2 weeks..... from eating clean and exercising, and focusing on trying to keep stress down.. meditation / deep breathing etc.

Well guys.. gotta get in some exercise before hitting the roads...

Everyone have a fabulous day !!!!

Hugs all Spark oN !!!

good evening ladies.

Shirley glad to hear your training went well. Having a personal trainer would be amazing!!! Good for you for doing that for yourself.

Jo I hope you're feeling better today and got out to enjoy the day.

Glenda, I bet you're getting all kinds of grandma loving. Enjoy your time with your family.

Sam, I think I could go just about anyplace around town and get good fries with hamburger meat and gravy. It's done the way I like it. You can't find anywhere up here that makes it right.... And if there was/is I don't want to know about it. Lol

Today I took a break from working out. I woke with a bad headache. I've had this for a week now and it's not leaving. Not sure if it's the end of the head cold, sinus, menopause ...whatever else. Anyway with the wedding tomorrow I just didn't want to push it.
I broke the plateau so I'm thrilled about that and now I'm just about ready for bed.
Hope everyone had a great day.

Good morning team .. HAPPY TGIF !!!!

Glenda... did you sleep at all last night ?? Enjoy every minute your family is visiting
emoticon

Lori, your welcome on the info. A lot to learn for sure and a lot of things one can do to eliminate or at least help the flashes/and other stuff.... !!! I know you are gonna kick them in the arse and move forward emoticon emoticon emoticon
I think you said you have an outdoor wedding to attend this weekend... enjoy !!!

Lori - training went well. I sweated for 70-75 mins.. Total body workout. She made up a great music play list and that was nice... songs with a good beats. We spoke about food after and I have to try to encorporate 200-400 min extra calories as I have been too low on my calories and it is making me feel fatigue zzzz We also touched bases on menopause / hot flashes/symptoms etc...and she also enforced how much food/caffeine/alchohol can have HUGE impacts .. she said for example red wine gives her Hot Flashes and indigestion..but now she knows the triggers.

Jo- so sorry to hear your not feeling well.. Glad you are heading to the doctors soon. Make sure to take care of yourself .. hugs emoticon

Sam- wish I could get up the past few mornings for a walk.. so darn zzzzz
I bet it was beautiful this morning. also nice here this morning .. enjoy your weekend. emoticon

HAPPY TGIF all.. back to work I go !!!

Good Morning!! TGIF!

We had a beautiful walk this morning. Temps were a little cooler, only 14 degrees but it was so calm and the birds were chirping.

No major plans for this weekend. A quad ride on Sunday perhaps although I 'm not a fan of riding with a group of people this time of the year. Too much dust. If it's really hot I'd prefer a day at the beach!

Have a great day all!

Just a quick check in... I am running late this evening. So much to do and so little time. I am only working half a day tomorrow and I have to go and get some things at the grocery store and take the pooch to get his nails trimmed, etc. I am hoping to go out for supper tomorrow evening with my daughter and gk's.... Well see...

Anyways it's off to bed....

Jo sorry to hear your not feeling well. Hope it don't last long. Take care and feel better soon

Glenda. Tomorrow is the big day. You must be so excited. Will you even sleep??? Lol I hope you have the best day/ week.

Sam, how are things down your way. Is mudders kitchen all fixed up and ready for business. I can't wait to get home and get a good scoff of fries with hamburger meat and gravy with dressing. It will probably kill me but I'll die with a smile on my face and a full belly. Lol

Well off to check emails and such. Been a busy day so my peeps are probably wondering what happened to me.
