I think if you chop them really tiny....both mushrooms and onions...and add them to soup you may not taste them.

I'm not fond of beans so i puree them in soup and I never taste them...Butternut squash soup is when i first pureed the beans

I usually sautee onions and mushrooms together and then mix them in with the cooked greens for dinner.

I still struggle with the mushrooms but I have come to love the rest of the food.

Great, thank you, good reminders.

1. Eat a large salad every day as your main dish.
2. Eat at least a half cup, but preferably closer to 1 cup, of beans a day.
3. Eat one large (double-size) serving of lightly steamed green vegetables a day.
4. Eat at least 1 ounce of nuts and seeds per day if you’re female and at least 1.5 ounces of nuts and seeds per day if you’re male.
5. Eat mushrooms and onions every day.
6. Eat three fresh fruits a day.

This allows me to compare it to the food plan I am using.
I can't eat salad as a main dish according to the guidelines I'm supposed to follow, but I do eat some salad at lunch most of the time.
I can make an effort to eat more beans and nuts.
I have cooked vegetables every day, and I eat greens, onion and mushrooms fairly frequently but I love the reminder.
Fruit - I am doing fine!
