I was already pretty far along in my transition before I read the book (Eat to Live) -- no meat, limited dairy, limited processed food (or so I thought). But I still found it really, really helpful to read the book before trying to transition. (He even says in the book -- don't start until you've read the whole book!) So I'd say start reading, and then when you feel like you're ready to jump, do it.

thank you for the info.... I only have the eat for health 1 right now because i thought it would give me a good start... maybe as I'm listening to these, I will order the other...

A lot depends on where you are in your healthy eating journey and how committed you are to change. Eat for Health is a slower transition to the Eat to Live life style. If you generally are eating healthy, if you are vegan or eating a very healthy vegetarian diet, or have serious healthy issue and are highly motivated to change, go for the Eat to Live cd. I would suggest you get the book also, the recipes and food plan are great.

If you are relativity new to idea of healthy eating, if you eat meat every day and/or eat a lot of prepared/processed foods, you should start with the Eat for Health cd. You'll need the Eat for Health Book Two if you don't already have it.

I just received a couple of CD sets and a DVD from the Fuhrman site.... The Eat to Live book on CD's... The Secrets to Healthy Cooking DVD by Dr and Lisa Fuhrman... AND Eat for Health book on CD's... Now if I want to start right in, where do I want to begin...or should I take the time to listen to the books on CD's and then watch the food DVD?????
