you are doing good 5 ponds in a month is nothing to sneeze at, this ETL not the biggest loser. as was pointed out its about health not weight. eat a quality diet and the weight will come off in its time

20 pounds since April is a great loss! That is 5 pounds a month! You are doing great. Just keep up what you are doing and keep checking in to let us know how it is going.

So true, my best may not be very good. I have lost a total of 20 lbs since April with about 5 of that since starting ETL some time in June. I am definitely fitting in clothes that I haven;t fit in a a few years. I think I need to go back to tracking my food using the Track It app. I have no idea how to fiind my Spark Page or my blog but I will look for it.

I think the key might be in your phrase "the best that I can." Only you can observe what that means and how it might be frustrating you, and the tracking tool is a good way to objectify what you are doing so that you can think about it. It helped me.

How long have you been following the ETL program? Are you following the vegan plan, the modified plan or the Eat for Health phase in? Which ever, please make sure that you have read the book completely.

ETL is primarily a plan for health, weight loss is a benefit of eating really well. If you are obsessed with the scale I'd suggest you put it away for the first 6 weeks and concentrate on the quality of your food. You might want to open your Sparkpage and perhaps write a blog about your experience, we will offer advice if you ask. In addition, there is a lot of information available on the older postings on the team page, you might find it helpful to read some of them. Others have found it helpful to read some of members sparkpages and blogs.

If I can be of help, leave a message on my sparkpage or by spark mail.

hi never mind the scale, if you have just started it may take a while before you start losing, what do you feel like and look like, are you trimmer are your clothes fitting loser. when you eat right and workout out you build muscle, a pound of muscle is twice as dense as fat in other word a pound of muscle takes up half the room as fat so you can appear to have lost weight when you didn't. that is why the scale alone is not accurate. so don't freak when the scale isn't right. weight also fluctuates

I'm really getting discouraged that the scale is not moving. I feel like I am doing the best i can with the program. I don't know if I should just put away the scale for a week, start tracking my food or try to increase my exercise. Im so frustrated because i am eating so much better that I have in the past.
