I should have taken my blood pressure at the time, to see what is going on. I have a schedule to follow today, which doesn't include going to the doctor, but I think I will start taking my BP at home to see what my patterns are. I had more vegetables yesterday than normal, and probably less grain, so that may have explained the drop. The last time I was at the doctor's (last week), my BP was 100/70, which the nurse said was good. Maybe I went lower than that...

I had to sit down two times while making breakfast because I felt faint. I think I might not need even the 1/2 low-dose BP pill that the doctor wants me to take.

Grouchy. I slept only 4 hours, as is my usual pattern, and I resented not being able to get back to sleep.

I'm better now because I'm alert. But I'm going to read the new book my DH gave me on insomnia.

And I'm gonna read it today.

I slept in this morning which is totally out of character for me. Hubby had to wake me up to put drops in his ears before he left for work. I'm not used to being woken up, I'm used to just waking up on my own, when I feel it's time. SO - it was a bit of an odd morning for me. Felt disoriented for a few minutes.

Shortly after I rolled out of bed, he left (6 a.m.) and I had the rest of the morning to myself. Quiet serenity. A had some good quality alone time, good meditation time. What started out as a bit jarring ended up being a very peaceful morning.

Pre-dawn walk as usual. It is extremely hot here, so I too was soaked with sweat before I finished. But it was a great way to start the day.

Now I'm off to fiddle with recipes before I do my Pilates.

I was up late last night so it was hard to jump out of bed at 5:30. My little buddy was ready to go, so I dressed and sat out for my morning walk. Its humid but not too bad, although the sweat had me soaked by the time I finished. Breakfast of strawberries, a banana and walnuts. We just had a 5 minute down pour of rain so I won't have to water the lawn today.

It's going to be hot today. If its hot where you are, please take care of your self.

I started the day just fine. Snuggles with the hubby, big glass of lemon juice water, some fruit.
Then I decided to read my email. Big Mistake !! No more emails on Sunday morning with the hubby!

Instead of getting up rested and eager I woke up out of sorts and disorganized, resulting in that status post. I intended to take a breath and start fresh but never did get it together. I will sit quietly this evening and imagine tomorrow morning starting in a better place like drawing a map for the day.

55Walker's quote for the day: The way I begin my day sets the tone for the rest of the day.

We all know that mindset and emotional and physical well-being help us stay the course toward optimal health.

How did you begin your day? I had a delicious chocolate cherry smoothie, which I particularly enjoyed making with the Vitamix, after having had to fool around with extra cutting and blending while learning to use the Tribest 250 personal blender. It was so much easier with the Vitamix, and I didn't have to reblend anything that didn't make it the first time.

Then I knit two more rows of a beautiful white mohair lace shawl which I'm making for a wonderful Chinese professional pianist I know, and went to church and saw my friends. After church, one friend and I watched another chapter of Jeff Novick's Fast Food video. She loves his recipes as much as I do, so I was glad to share. Then I came home and took a nice luxurious nap.

All in all, a nice start to my day. How did you start your day?
