I totally misunderstood what you meant! :)

I don't know, your show sounds like one i'd watch. :)

Crime fighting monsters would be cool, too. I've never really given it much thought...

but I did recall another show I like, it's just been ages since new episodes that I forgot, and that's Salem. :)

I too am a huge fan of Supernatural, I Zombie, and Santa Clarita Diet. I have the first season of Ash on dvd - but I know myself and know that I will want to watch the whole thing in one sitting so I have to wait to watch that when I have time. I just know I'm such a Bruce Campbell fan I won't be able to turn it off. I tried to watch Penny Dreadful, but I think my head wasn't in the right place because I didn't even make it through the first episode - but I will try again at some point.

I am looking forward to hearing what other people recommend too, but I think I wasn't super clear. I meant that if you were going to pitch a brand new show to a network, what would it be?

I'd like a "monster of the week" format with longer arcs tying episodes together like a lot of the shows have done. I'd like to see David Boreanaz as an investigator (I loved his role on Bones) of cases that the regular police can't explain. Vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc. He has to solve murders, kidnappings, unexplained explosions, etc. He is fully human, but has seen some weird stuff. Sort of like X-Files, but with less aliens. He could have a boss (Sharon Stone or Jane Seymour) that just wants to close cases without raising eyebrows. An unpredictable but talented partner who is some kind of supernatural being in hiding (Zac Efron or Taylor Lautner). They slowly build a network of allies and discover enemies (cameos and guest star roles for a variety of actors - Danny Trejo, Bruce Campbell, Jessica Alba, plus others I would think of later). I'd like it set in Colorado (because that's where I live) and bring in local legends as much as possible.

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows my fave show is Supernatural, if you didn't, now you do.
Monsters, witches, demons, blurred lines of good and evil, crazy story lines, hot guys.... what's not to love?

In iZombie, Liv is a medical examiner when she becomes a zombie, but when she eats a brain, she takes on that person's personality and some memories, and in the process can help the fbi/police find out why the person died or who murdered them. There are several great characters in the show, too. I really love Ravi. :) Anyhow, worth a look-see if you haven't already.

Santa Clarita Diet is a suburban mom who becomes a zombie and their escapades on how to hide the fact that she eats people yet appear to be a "normal" suburban family. It's wonderful!

Ash vs. The Evil Dead... if you LOVE Brucey and all his antics as Ash, you will love this aging swaggering version as well. I know I do!!

If you like something darker, I recommend Penny Dreadful. Creepy, raunchy, and has a hot guy or two and several classic character takes! It's another of my favorites.

There are many others!!

I'm also looking for a new series to watch, so this thread will be interesting!

I was watching Fear the Walking Dead last night and realized that I don't like the show as much as I used to. I miss the characters that have been lost, and just don't like the remaining and new characters as much as I'd like to. I found myself wishing a new show would come out that I'd really enjoy watching.

Pitch your best tv show idea. What's the basic plot? What actors would you cast? Would it be a "monster of the week" format or a longer arc?
