Johann’s War by James Farner. There are 7 books in the series which follows 2 brothers during and before world war 2 in Germany. One brother is high in the ss and the other, Johann is in the resistance.

James Marsters does an absolutely fantastic job of reading the Dresden Files books. You wouldn't go wrong listening to them.

The Drizzt series sounds pretty interesting too, and the fact that there are so many books in it is great since I'm running out of, or waiting for new additions to, all the series I've been reading.

I would have liked to see R L Stine's Fear Street books as a tv series. Also maybe the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series by Alvin Schwartz.

New series of books I gotta get! Dresden Files (gotta get the audio book, because James Marsters... you know that's Spike, right? from Buffy :) and Code Breakers, sounds so cool, the covers remind me of the Borg.

Drizzt is a Drow elf who goes against his matriarcal society where the women rule everything and men are slaves and they all worship this wicked Spider Queen thing Lloth. He's a good guy in a wicked society and sets off on his own. It's been years since I've read any of the books, I got to about #20 or so. I want to read them all again now that I've remembered how much I love them. :)

Sooooo many books, so little time!

Melissa, I'd watch that for sure! :)

(if you ever see anyone cos-playing an elf with black skin and white hair he/she is a Drow Elf. Drizzt has purple eyes, carries two scimitars and has a black panther companion named Guenhwyvar.)

I too have never heard of either of those books.

LOL That would be funny, Melissa! emoticon

I think Code Breakers by Colin F. Barnes would make a great television series or movie at least.

Wow, I have never heard of either of those!

I am unsure about what books would make a great series. I always think the book is better. Usually, anyway. I do think that a docu-series of the 50 Great Myths of Popular Psychology would be fascinating! Especially with full on dramatizations! emoticon Nerd alert!

The Legend of Drizzt series of books by RA Salvatore.
So far there are 33 books, and he's still writing them. This is an awesome series of fantasy books
"The Legend of Drizzt is a series of fantasy novels by R. A. Salvatore, with the first title released in 1988 that is now 33 books strong, with #34 set to release September 2018. They are based in the Forgotten Realms setting in the dimension of Abeir-Toril on the continent Faerūn in the popular D&D universe currently published/owned by Wizards of the Coast. It combines the series The Dark Elf Trilogy, The Icewind Dale Trilogy, Legacy of the Drow, Paths of Darkness, The Hunter's Blades Trilogy, and other sets into an abridged compilation. Drizzt Do'Urden is the main character of most of the books." ~wiki

I you could have a book (or book series) adapted to a tv show which book/series would it be?

I've been re-reading an old favorite series - the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. I think it would make a fantastic tv show. There was a syfy tv show based on the books years ago (that's how I got introduced to the books) but it was short-lived and not terribly accurate to the books. I'd like to see an updated version that's a little truer to to books. It could really be a fantastic show.

Here's some info on the books in case you're interested.
