I read constantly, and usually have multiple books going at the same time. I should sign up for Good Reads, but just never have. That Book Bub sounds pretty great, I should look into that.

I really like King and Koontz (although I like the older Koontz better than the newer), I really liked the 2 books I've read by Hill. I read a huge variety of books from westerns to horror to mystery to comedy/romance (like the Stephanie Plum series). Probably my favorite genre though is urban fantasy (witches, vampires, werewolves etc. in the setting of a normal city).

Are you looking for more classic horror, or more supernatural stories, or based on true crime, etc?

I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.

I have signed up on GoodReads over a year ago, but I'm not on there very much... mainly because I don't read like I used to. I miss being able to read constantly, but my eyes have issues. :/

I concur with Melissa, A Head Full of Ghosts was really good and scary!
I love Stephen King and have read a LOT of his books. So far Duma Key is my favorite.
I also read a book called Tick Tock by Dean Koontz that I enjoyed a lot.

The Frankenstein series by Dean Koontz is good, blends old school horror and new stuff as well.

If anyone wants to link up on good reads send me a private message.

Ok, so A Head Full of Ghosts was awesome.

If you like thrillers The Woman in Cabin 10and In The Dard Dark Wood are awesome by Ruth Ware.

Turn of the Screw by Henry James is a great ghost story.

Of course The Exorcist was terrifying and much better than the movie.

I am looking for book titles not authors only. What were your favorite books?

To be honest, I've never read a Stephen King novel and haven't found a good horror author. Although, I haven't really tried to find a good author. I've always planned to read Stephen King novels but never have. I love to read and am on Goodreads. I haven't updated what I'm reading in a while though. I read all kinds of books though.

I'm on Goodreads if anyone wants to look me up send me a message and I'll give you a link. I also have a book club so my bookshelf varies. I would have to say that I, of course, love Stephen King. His son Joe Hill is pretty great too. Peter Straub and Anne Rice or in my top 3.

I have a cool story about Anne Rice. Years ago I went to New Orleans and went to see her old house. I took pictures and posted them to her Facebook. She actually commented! She's cool in that she interacts a lot with her fans on social media.

I'm on Goodreads. Unfortunately the friends I have on there don't seem to read a lot. I guess they sign up and then just don't do anything with it. I do like the reading challenge.

I have always loved horror movies but I have never been a fan of horror literature.

For those of you that love a good book on horror, what are your favorites?
