Nuts are great - good fats (and therefore relatively high calorie). I'm not a huge nut fan, though, so I make some trail mix from the bulk food section of the store - peanuts, almonds, walnuts, and then cheerios, chocolate chips (mmmm...) and a handful of dried cranberries.

If you're looking for something liquid and/or easy on the stomach, egg drop soup (which is surprisingly easy to make), while not particularly high calorie, is high protein.

Read the ticker backwards - I'm trying to gain!

Can you not drink milk products? Have you tried soy milk - it tastes great mixed into a shake or smoothie!

What are some good caloric (but low sugar) meal/snack ideas for someone who can't drink meal replacement shakes?
