Thank you for this link. My boyfriend needs to gain weight badly. I'm signing him up to Sparkpeople tomorrow. I'm so glad I thought to check here to see if there were forums like this.

Thanks for sharing the link....it's always hard to determine if I am eating enough based on a tracker that is geared for those who need to lose weight.

Weight tracker advised that I eat 2341 calories. I think I will pass on that advice. I would be eating all the wrong stuff all day to reach that goal or eat out for all 3 of my meals. I am gaining slowly by eating no less than 1200 calories a day to start. I could just see me eating 2341 calories and feeling stuffed; and bypass my regular weight and then struggling to get back down to a healthy weight. emoticon

Yes, we really should, Cephas. So we're a minority here, we still have goals!

That's a very useful site.

I like muffins.

OMG! Here's what it calculated for me:

RESULTS - GUIDELINE ONLY

Daily Calorie Intake: 2417

CARBS PROTEIN FATS*
GRAMS PER MEAL 59.8g 24.6g 16g
GRAMS PER DAY 299g 123g 80g

*Saturated fats should make up only 1/3 of this amount.

This is with FIVE Meals per day only strength training, no cardio! Ummmm, I don't know if I can do this!!!!

I am happy to find I only need to eat 2017 calories a day. I was aiming for 3000! It is too difficult to keep up. I can eat 6 smal meals a day with 10g of protein. Easy.

Keeping positive makes life flow a little easier, me thinks!

I just went to this calculator to see what it says I should consume daily. Suffice to say I was blown away with what it said. Particularly considering I have a hard time even getting to the daily minimum on here!

Daily Calorie Intake: 2504

Hey Everyone,

Here is a link to a weight gain calculator:

http://www.freedieting.com/tools/weight_
gain_calculator.htm

You put in your information and it tells you how much you need to gain weight. I found out that I need a whole lot more of everything then I thought. Hope this helps. Take care!
