I find that being underweight makes my body flip all sorts of conventions around. Exercise? Far from suppressing my appetite, it stimulates it. Eating an apple? Instead of filling me up, it is a guarantee to make me hungry, even if I wasn't before. (Apparently the combination of sugars can be an appetite stimulant).

I don't exercise in the mornings, simply because then I drag all day, but you should give it a try, and if it works, do it!

(Later note: oops, I just realized how long ago this thread was started. Out of curiosity, what did you decide to do, and how did it work for you?)

I feel that when I exercise in the morning I actually eat more later in the day. Because if I exercise in the afternoon or evening I don't snack during this time and eat less at lunch because I don't like to work out with a full stomach.

When I exercise early I crave sugar and sweets and eat a lot at dinner, since I don't need to worry about how I feel because I already exercised.
It's weird i knoe, but thats just how it works for me.

The opposite happens to me. When I work out in the morning it kick starts my metabolism and I'm starving all day. I think your work out should happen when it works best for your schedule. If its in the morning, day, night it doesn't matter, what truly matters is that you find time to exercise.

I keep reading things about morning exercise. Good for your mind and body but I've also read that it helps you not eat as much throughout the day. If that's true then I don't want to do that but then when should I work out?

Wish my ticker wasn't backwards - J
