Yes, I always make the Sign of the Cross when passing a Catholic Church. I even do it when I pass other Christian (non-Catholic) Churches. I don't do it when passing cemeteries. I also bow my head when hearing/saying the Name of Jesus. I say a prayer and make the Sign of the Cross when I see or hear an ambulance.

I do make the sign of the cross when passing a Catholic church.

I do those things! It's nice to know I'm not the only one!

Timothy - I don't do that. I Think I will start. Of course, working in a Catholic school I'll be bowing a lot during the day!

What if we woke up tomorrow with only those things that we thanked God for today?

I remember as a little girl my mother teaching us to bless ourselves every time we go by a catholic church . . . and I still do it to this day. I taught my children as well as their friends (whoever was driving in the car with us) to bless themselves as well. Wonderful tradition to pass along!

If you want the people around you to change,
change yourself first.

Oooooh! I forgot about the cemeteries. I do try to remember the churches, but usually have to go out of the way to pass a Catholic church.

I don't do that. But I still bow my head when I say or hear the name Jesus. I don't see many do that any more.

Wow! I hadn't thought of that in years! I used to do it when I was small, but it's been a long time! I do however have a holy water font by the door to the garage and I ALWAYS bless myself on the way out the door. And it must help, as I was the passenger in a car on Monday, and we got sideswiped by an 18 wheeler and no one was hurt!

Do you make the Sign of the Cross when you drive by a Catholic Church? Do you when you drive by a cemetery to pray for the deceased?
