Let us pray for those killed in Newton massacre

This was such a horrific act & to be committed at this time of year somehow makes it worse!
So many lives have been ruined! The children who will never see another day, their parents, siblings & relatives who have to learn to go on without them; the children & families of the ADULTS who were killed, too! The children who lost their mother; the husbands who lost their wife, the boyfriends who lost their girlfriends. The anguish is never ending.
These people are attending funerals instead of PARTIES!

May God wrap HIS loving arms around them all to comfort them & give them peace as their loved ones are being laid to rest.!

So very sad! Have been praying for them all since I found out yesterday! God bless!

Words fail at a time like this... my heart aches for the parents, grandparents and other family members of the children and teachers who were killed, as well as for the other children and teachers who must be traumatized by what they lived through. It is impossible to understand what would drive a person to commit such a horrific act.... there is so much evil in our world today... we can only pray. My prayers are with all those who have been touched by this tragedy!

I was horrified. I am heartbroken. The news is so sad. And now word is leaking that the shooter himself may have been mentally tormented himself. He surely had demons. A tragedy all around.

I am reminded of the Amish family whose loved ones were murdered in Lancaster County. The went to the home of the killers wife and prayed with her because she too was touched by the tragedy in the same way they were. You gotta love when people "Preach the Gospel at all times ..." and "... when necessary use words."

I agree with you Dee. The news media forever messes up what they broadcast, and they should show heartfelt feelings and not be asking these little Children anything. Some of the questions like, "What did the gun shots sound like?" They should leave these little Children alone.

praying since I hear at 11 am and the news people keep messing it up wish they would get the facts and then broadcast and stop interviewing the children ugh they have enough to deal with

It sickens me to the core like the many of you. We wonder how anyone can commit such a horrific act? Even one Child being gunned down is horrendous, but 20?? There seems to be an evilness we see in anyone who would do this. It is an extremely sick soul who would kill these Children and Teachers.
We have many People & Children to pray for. We pray for the living who are bearing much pain, and for the souls of the departed.
May God grant eternal rest to their souls. Amen.

This tragic loss of little ones makes me truly physically ill;
May Our Lord comfort the families who have lost one of the most wonderful joys of life.. Reminds me of the poem I saw many years ago, "I'll lend you a child for a little while".
Mere words cannot help a broken heart, only prayer and time will soften the blow of loss to these families
. I don't believe anyone ever gets over this kind of heart ache, they only eventually adapt to the emptiness which remains
We must pray for them every day; God bless these innocent children!

The location is Newtown; both my brothers live in the area, and I went to High School near there. So terribly sad, my prayers continue. When a list of names of the deceased are released I fear I will know the parents or grandparents of one of the little angels killed. May they rest in peace surrounded by God's love. May God give their families comfort at this awful time.

I am absolutely overcome with grief thinking about those holy innocents taken away by a monster madman.

We lost a 17 month old grandson many years ago so I have an inkling of what those parents are, a will continue to, going through.

May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen
