That is funny! You should come try the kickboxing one night, we have a lot of fun while doing it. :) I believe they cut back the Zumba because the other classes were so big... I'm serious though, come to kickboxing one night. Its all girls at the 5:45 and we have a lot of fun while working out. :)

I want to try to make it out to skate one of these saturdays. I have a two year old whose schedule rules mine on the weekends. Lol.

Ice skating is so fun and such a great workout. I havent been in a few years. Need to try to make it out soon!

That's funny! DH got me a card to try them out, but I just haven't made it yet. I'm hoping they'll add some more Zumba classes that work with my schedule. I think they only have one evening and one weekend class right now. I'm WAY too out of shape for the bootcamp class!

There are a few of us who skate at Cal Skate on Saturday mornings. That's fun and good exercise.

My daughter and I went ice skating at Gateway this past Sunday and had a blast too. I'm the kind of person who has to have fun working out or I just won't do it.

I posted a reply yesterday but it got lost. Huh.

DH does a boot camp class at GABB/The Playground. Sounds like what you do, and it kicks his butt!

I suspect your body's just playing catch up and holding onto water to repair those sore muscles. Keep playing around with calories and exercise until you find your "sweet spot" and it'll get moving again!

I weigh weekly, Typically on Thursdays (why, I don't know, I like Thursdays. Lol) It hasn't moved in about two weeks. I haven't taken any measurements, which I am rethinking doing now. The scale isnt moving but clothes are getting looser. I'm wondering if "too much" strength training might be behind because I am doing quite a bit in the class I'm taking. I'm exercising, eating within my calorie range and drinking plenty of water.

I also just started a "hard core" kickboxing class about two weeks ago. The trainer really works us. Its a small class of about 6-8 on average and is a mix of kickboxing and boot camp. I do that twice a week and burn approx. 1100 calories (classes combined) between that I'm doing strength training and starting to run.

I'll have to look into calorie cycling. Thanks for the tip!

How long has the scale not moved? Do you weigh daily, weekly? Have you taken measurements? Are you doing regular calorie restriction or another plan? Are you exercising? Drinking enough water? Getting enough to eat? All of these can affect weight loss.

I do a calorie cycling plan and weigh daily. The longest I've gone without some movement is 4 or 5 days. When I was doing low carb, weight loss slowed to about a 1/2 a pound per week. Now I'm getting an average of 2-3 pounds per week, but I have a lot more to lose than you do. There are a bunch of calorie cycling plans out there. I do JUDDD or the Alternate Day Diet.

So, I have been eating healthier and working out but I'm not noticing the lbs coming off, I have lost 4 lbs but I've hit a "plateau" i guess... I am noticing my pants are a little looser and I can buy a smaller size in some things but the scale wont move! Anyone else have this problem? What did you do to lose the lbs? Should I care what the scale says? Tips welcome!
