It did bother me, but that was way back before Oct 24, 2007. When I was doing real good and on track using Biggest Loser Web Site I did hit a plateau and it was very frustrating, once I figured out why, which was not eating enough calories to account for all the calories I was burning (800 - 1200) per day.

I broke the plateau and was doing fine until Oct. 24, 2007, which was the day my brother died. And I have never gotten or gained the control back that I had back then.

I'm like you... when things are tough and I'm not seeing the results, hubby and family & friends always remind me that I need to keep pressing on.

Also little reminders and lots of affection help too. :)

When things are tough, and I'm not seeing the results I want, my boyfriend reminds me that as long as I'm consistent in my food and exercise choices my body has no choice but to lose weight at some point. That motivates me to keep trucking along in those weeks where I gain or stay the same!

It's also super nice when my mom runs up and gives me big hugs and kisses when she sees me. She tells me how much I've changed since I've started this, and it is so nice to hear.

Soo it seems what I need it reminders that I'm on track, and lots of affection :P

QUOTE - “The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves.”

We all go through periods of our journey where we eat the right amount of calories, drink the right amount of water, do seemingly EVERYTHING right, but we don’t see a budge in our weight, we’re at a stand still.

Q -Does this ever bother you? Do you have family who encourages you through your journey?

QUESTION FROM MEMBER -
What is the best way for your loved ones to encourage you through a tough stretch in your journey?

Winning feels good. It’s satisfying to look over at a vanquished foe knowing that, when tested, you came out on top. Winning is a rush. But, like most rushes, the high of winning can fade with time and memory. The victories that stick, the ones that build lasting confidence, are the ones where you impress yourself instead of others. It’s easy to win. It’s tougher to win when it requires you to be at the top of your game and constantly improving. But it’s so much more meaningful. In the same way, lasting motivation comes from the bars we set high for ourselves. Humans have a way of working hard to live up to our own standards. For the best measuring stick, look to your past and to your potential. More often than not, when you commit to being your best, the victories will come anyway.
