Mica,
I think you should definitely try jogging if you want to try it then go for it! What could it really hurt? And the only way you'll know if it's for you, is if you TRY it.

Cyndall,
I'm so happy that you're always happy! But I also agree with Mica, I was questioning why you put that little bit "Probably not what you're looking to hear" in your post. Just instead of putting things like that, why not let other's decide for themselves whether they'll be truly happy for you for the way you feel, etc.

I think I used to be that way and lots of times I think I still am, but I know I have a lot of negativity in my heart that I need to work on. I don't really know why it's there, but it is, it creeps up when I least expect it. So yes, at times I do have a hard time finding and celebrating the joy of life.

@Cyndall, that's awesome that you feel that way, but why are you prefacing it with negativity?

That's the third time I've seen/heard you preface fabulous news with "you're not going to like this" kind of language in a week. It's like you are telling others how to perceive what you are going to say rather than letting them just be excited for you. You recently talked about perceiving negativity from others, but I'm curious if you're subconsciously creating a negative landscape.

Stop it! And give everyone permission to be fabulously happy for you!

Probably not what you're looking to hear, but I've got so much joy I've got joy to spare!

I'm just naturally one of those happy people. Sure I whine sometimes, but even that for the most part is with a true sense of joy in my heart.

I'm so joyful and optimistic I'm practically annoying sometimes! lol But what can I say I like to be happy and I like to share my happiness!

Mica,
I just started jogging. It is mostly a combination of walking/jogging. My only suggestion would be to start slow and listen to your body.

I have been. In my effort to include more physical activity, I've been really hurting myself. Exercising at the gym isn't satisfying for me at all, and so I'm trying to fade those workout sessions out for things I enjoy, like yoga, bellydancing, swimming, and rollerskating. I want to take up jogging soon, but have been a little scared to try.

Re-posting this question, since nobody seemed to have the chance to answer it yesterday! :)

Q DO YOU HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING AND CELEBRATING THE JOY IN LIFE?

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Each day is a new chance to find joy and to dance. If you let it pass or think it useless, the chance is gone and you'll never get it back. When was the last time you played? Or just did something for the sheer fun of it? Joy is not found in the world around you, it's within yourself. You can make your own joy, especially during those dark times when you need to really feel alive again. Fun and play are healthy antidotes to taking life--and ourselves--too seriously. They're proven boosters of immune systems and mental health and make life worth the trouble. So do the twist. Sing in the shower. Learn a magic trick. Watch a cartoon. Challenge some kids to a game. Don't let a single day go to waste.
