Sleep is a generous thief; he gives to vigor what he takes from time.

- Elizabeth, Queen of Romania

Is lack of sleep robbing you of your goals?

If you surveyed the millions of us who don't get much sleep, chances are they'll say that the #1 reason they don't is "lack of time." In other words, people have too much to do to sleep. Late hours and frantic mornings are the rule. Who has time for more sleep? What this tired group doesn't realize is that a sleep debt is probably keeping them from acting and thinking at full strength, making even the easiest tasks harder to do. And take longer. Believe it or not, you can probably get more done in your day by getting more sleep. The mental and physical pick-up more than make up for that extra hour or two in bed.

You're welcome! If/when you get it, you'll be glad you did! It works great without any side effects or groggy feeling when you wake up.

Kris, thanks for the product recommendation. I think I might pick one up as a personal reward when I make my next percentage goal.

For me, I think yes it does. When I don't get very much sleep, I'm sleepy ALL day long and I can't seem to focus. This is 1 of the things that is caused from my Hypothyroidism, it causes me to be extremely tired, have difficulty sleeping, etc. Dumb thyroid!

BUT, I did find something a couple months ago at Whole Foods, it's called Calms by Hylands, it's for nerves, sleeplessness and insomnia, it has NO side effects and it works great! Here's a link to read about it... www.hylands.com/products/calms.php there's also another called Hyland's Insomnia www.hylands.com/products/insomnia.ph

there are a few others listed on that site, but these 2 I found at Whole Foods. I bought the Calms one and I like it.

I not so sure if it is lack of sleep, but I all I want to do is sleep to get away from my stressors. The biggest hindrance to achieving my goals is I punish myself when I feel that I cant deal with my stresses any better than I do. Logically I know I can do better, it doesn't make total sense even to me when I feel so incapable. I am looking forward to breaking the cycle I started yesterday.

Possibly? It's hard to stay excited or on top of everything when you are sleep deprived. As a lifetime insomniac, I have to be seriously lacking in the sleep department to be fully put off. I'm so used to it, I just keep moving on. Sure my reflexes suffer and I may not be able to think quick on my feet, but sometimes when sleep deprived it's easier to stick to routines because you don't have to think about them.
