great response Cyndall, I'm glad you were able to feel a sense of accomplishment from that experience and grow from it.

I take risks a lot too, every time I decide to workout, there's always the risk of pulling muscles or something, but I try not to think of the what if's of that... but try and enjoy the workouts while I can.

I have been taking a lot of risks lately!

Off the top of my head trying the Zumba class week before last was scary but it turned out to be pretty fun! And even scarier I'm going to go back tonight for more without the safety net of my friends being there!

Also I like to think that getting back into the right frame of mind after my hard weekend was a risk. It would have been a lot easier to throw in he towel and call myself a failure but I really struggled and was able to come out the other side back at the gym and on the healthy band wagon. I feel a real sense of accomplishment and growth because of that.

In order for growth to occur we need to stretch ourselves, try new things out, speak up and be heard, and reach out. All of these examples are risky and come with potential unpleasant repercussions. However, risking also carries with it untold rewards!
