I am one of those lucky people that see results right away. I drop inches quickly it seems, and weight too. At least at first, I know it will all slow down the smaller I get.

I have pants that are to big now, and I have been losing inches and all of my clothes (that still fit) are looking much nicer on me!

I've been earnestly at this since March 2010.

DSDIVINY - I know it can be a struggle. But we must not ever give up on ourselves. Besides not seeing results on the scales, do you see any results any other way, like how do you feel now compared to when you first started up again. How do your clothes fit, etc. The scale isn't the only thing we need to think about, in fact some people I've heard have not bothered with the scale and yet they know they've lost because of the inches, the way their clothes fit, the way they feel, etc. Which I'm sure you've already found out as you said you don't see results on the scales. Anyway, keep hanging in there, you're doing great!

LINDALOU - That's just awesome! Congrats! I know what you mean about the pants not fitting and the shirts all getting way too big. 1 of my goals was to reach a certain weight and then my reward would be to get new clothes, this was a few months ago, well before I could get to the end of my goal, I had to get some new jeans as it was getting so hard to keep my other pants to stay up, lol. Now the ones that I bought then they to are getting lose, so my next goal reward is to get a belt.

When I first started this journey, it took only a couple of weeks for me to start noticing results, first it was the # on the scales, then it was with the way I started feeling which was AWESOME, then it was my clothes kept getting loser and loser, then I started noticing small changes with my body. I've still got a long ways, and I've been too lazy lately, I need to kick it up 3 notches, but I've been in that sort of mood "I don't wanna". LOL Well, I best get my butt busy, cause "I don't wanna" gain again and go back to what I was either!

It did not take long at all. I started noticing the changes before anyone else. Two weeks in I could button my pants without taking a breath, now those pants dont fit. One month later my double chin is gone, my shirts are getting to big and falling off my shoulders and I am have dropped about inches everywhere. May is one of the birthday months and we have a two grandson parties. Looking forward to showing everyone the progress. :)

I started in earnest to lose weight in April 2009. I've fallen off the band wagon a couple times (bought a house in July, ended my marriage in September, do I need to mention the holidays?).

My BIGGEST obstacle in my weight loss regimes is that I don't see results for about three months (which I found out I get from my mom). I work out incessantly, but because I put on muscle very easily it can be several weeks before I see results on the scale. As much as I've tried, I can't get past being number obsessed, so I have my partner keep track of my scale progress. He reinforces me when I'm doing well and encourages me when I need to put a little more effort in.

It was April 1st we began again in earnest, after being lax overly much. I know I haven't had dramatic progress, right now I'm just worried about committing to healthy practices.

HOW LONG WAS IT BEFORE YOU STARTED SEEING RESULTS (I.E. ON THE SCALES, WITH YOUR BODY, WITH YOUR CLOTHES, ETC)?
