Procrastination is my obstacle. I have a habit of putting things off to the last minute.

I think that is why going to the gym in the morning is easier for me. I know exactly what time I have to get up in order to leave and get to the gym at the exact right time and then I'll work out until the very last minute I can possibly stay before I'd be late to get home and get ready for work.

So I guess I"m using my procrastination to it's best ability :P

Anna, well this one was from one of the Healthy Reflections from SparkPeople's daily emails. I really liked the question. Some, I just somehow think of them and think, hey, that'd be a great question of the day or I'll see a question somewhere in an article or something and think they'd be great questions... so I add them to my list of questions of the day.

DSDIVINY - That's a GREAT answer! To many of us put it off and put it off and procrastinate about it, lol. I used to be one of those. Sometimes still am. But you're exactly right, if 1 doesn't start now, they'll never start and it's never as hard as 1 builds it up to be.

I actually planned on blogging about this today, so I'll make this brief. My biggest reason not to start a new healthy habit is always that I'll start later...there's too much going on at the moment. Well, there's always too much going on. There's never a good time. It's always going to be hard. In the end, it's always worth the struggle (which one finds is never as hard as one builds it up to be).

QUOTE - Most barriers to your success are man-made. And most often, you're the man who made them.
- Frank Tyger

Q ARE YOU YOUR OWN OBSTACLE?

Are you trying to stick to a fitness plan, improve a relationship, eliminate fast food from your diet, or be a better parent? Whatever your goal, was there a time when you thought you couldn't do it? This is a natural reaction when things get tough. It's easier to find ways to justify your actions than to get over the hurdle. This week, eliminate the hurdles and barriers you've created. If you find yourself saying, "I can't" or "I don't have time," then re-analyze your goal. If you really want to achieve it, then make the time or take a different approach (get up earlier, stay organized, learn the skills). Find time for you and your goals.
