My one and only goal this year is to Thank God everyday for no matter what may be brought to my life that day. i do love all the goals you guys set though and wish you well in meeting them.

I hope the kids learn as much from me as I learn from them,

Wow, you all have some great resolutions/goals! My goals are to pass my firefighting class and to get back on track with my eating and exercise and get rid of the 20 pds I gained back! Ug!

I can do this!

I have good news, I don't have to do any goals for one staff at the center. One down, 2 to go and the therapist which we will see Wednesday.

I have to agree that I make these resolutions every year but within the first month, I've backslid something outrageous. That being said, my 2009 Resolutions would have to be as follows:

1. Go thru all of the boxes I have left and toss as much trash as possible to reduce the number of boxes remaining.

2. To keep in touch with all the friends I have made on this particular Spark Team.

3. To not regain the pounds that I have lost.

4. To continue to keep losing those inches (if not pounds).

5. To enjoy being with my immediate family especially this summer.

You guys have some great ideas.

My goals are:

1) connect by written words and mailed the old snail mail way with friends and family.

2) Be on the computer less time when the kids are home.

3) Try to lose at least 10 pounds this year. Doesn't sound like much but ever pound counts.

4) Start Strength training. I love to exercise on my bike but I really need to start strength training at least twice a week.

Resolutions? My motivation to keep them sucketh! BUT... the way you phrased this Darlink...

1. Make everything that I get involved in more fun than normally.

2. Don't let anything I have lost creep back on.

4. Keep in touch with people I have reconnected with in 2008.

5. Don't skip a 3rd resolution!

So far, haven't had meetings yet to plan out everything from the center or the therapist.
1. lose 30 pounds
2. eat within my calorie range
3. do more varied exercises
4. continue to drink all my water
5. to finish my felt crafts
6. to buy the yarn for 7 knitted blankets so I can
make then for Christmas 2010

Will be back with the other ones as they are made. I want a record of them in one place.

I don't necessarily plan on making an actual resolution this year because I make the very same one every single year, and then crash and burn a couple weeks or months later...

That being said, I've already taken the steps needed to get my weight issue under control once and for all & my plan for 2009 is to actually stick with it!

My new years resolution is to never have to make a new years resolution again. I started my weight loss journey on January 15 2008 and am now 5.8 pounds away from my goal weight and don't plan on having to resolve anything anymore.

Now this doesn't have to be exercise. What are your plans for the new year? Maybe food and exercise but also entertaining more, doing more for yourself or someone else. You know what you need so let's hear your ideas for the New Year. emoticon
