Pedometers are inexpensive and can be agreat assistance in meeting goals....some employers have health programs that hand them out as well.

Yep....I got that part, but is there something that will track exactly how many miles I have walked. Like half way to heck and back or something?

OK...go to your spark points page and click on enter cardio. When the cardio screen comes up click on browse....one of them has walking on it...they have different speeds per mile. I use to just guess how fast I was walking and enter the time under the closest one. It will figure your calories burned.

Hope this is the info you were looking for.

Sorry...it took so long to get back to you all. I am wearing good cross training shoes, and I am stretching before I walk. I don't plan on buying a pedometer, and I have driven the route that we take and I know exactly how far we walk. I would like to get to log that information somehow.

Thanks Jane, that is an excellent web site. I was getting ready to come back and give the link for that also. It really comes in handy.

Hope all of these suggestions help.

Here is a site where you can enter the route you walk and it will tell you how far it is. I have used it to get an idea of routes to walk, but I wear a pedometer all the time to make sure I get my 10,000 steps in everyday. When DH and I go on walks, I wear my HRM and it will tell me how many calories I burned.

As far as your leg problems, the suggestions about the time of day, shoes and stretching are great ones. If it does persist I would check with a doctor. www.mapmyrun.com/

Are you stretching before and after your walks? And I agree with Jan - good shoes are super important. If it keeps up, you may want to run it by your doctor..

As far as tracking your walks - I drove all of my walking routes in my car and used the trip odometer to see the distances. Then, I divide the number of minutes I walk by the distance to get my walking speed, which I then enter into the fitness tracker.

Life IS good!!

Just a thought....when you exercise you stir up your adrenalin. You may just be walking too close to bedtime. Also, are you wearing good walking shoes? The right shoes or insoles can help absorb some of the shock to your legs and back. If nothing else, try taking some ibuprofen or tylenol before bedtime.

#1 I've never had that problem so can't help but if you go to the message boards and post there the experts (the coaches) can give you some ideas

#2 You can log steps if you use a pedometer in the "other goals" section. Also, I am a member of a team called Around The World where we add up our mileage and try toget...well around the world lol you are welcome to join

Insert something brilliant and fabulous here

Any one have achy, noodley legs after walking? I walk in the evenings when it cools off. We usually get home about 9 p.m. I then sit for a moment and usually enjoy some fruit. Take my vitamins and then I am off to bed. Lay in bed and my legs are achy. I am not a morning person so walking before work is not an option. lol Also I was wondering if there is a place I can go to log my mileage?
