I'm glad you had a good time, we were at the end of pit road at Lowe's last year. It was perfect. When Ryan Newman wrecked we had the grass and smells all over us. IT WAS GREAT!!!!!! The only problem was there wasn't enough big screens to see the whole track. I only saw two screens. But it was a blast being that close. Dover was the same way, when we went there Kenneseth wrecked into the big yellow blockage going into pit road. That was cool to see too once we realized he wasn't hurt.

I hope the kids learn as much from me as I learn from them,

Wendy,

Glad you had a safe trip. Sorry things were not as good as you'd hoped, but it still had to be exciting! You sure have a great racing season planned - yeehaw! Please give us "stay-at-homers" the reports, ok?

Wendy, glad you had a great time. Sounds like you have a lot of tracks planned. Can't wait to hear about your next one.

Well, I now know why some blogs call it Poc oh no.
We were sitting right on the start finish line, which was great for seeing the pits, those of you who are Tony Stewart fans-send me an email to wenbeattie@yahoo.ca and I'll forward you all the shots I took of his pits as I was sitting across from them. I have some of Mark Martin's pit as well, and as many Jeff Gordon shots as I could get.

The problems with Pocono:
It's in the middle of nowhere, not signed well at all.
Sitting where we were, there was a grandstand in front of us, so we couldn't see 3/4 of the track as a result. Everyone stands then, so you can't see turn 3, and they cars come zooming underneath you on the straight away and you can barely see the tops of the vehicles, so, I only really could see them for a brief period between turn one and two. I felt like I was at an Indy race rather than a Nascar race.

We had heard many things about Pocono, but we thought we'd check it out for ourselves to see.

We had a great time, baked in the sun, and love the sounds of the pits, but Pocono was a one-of for us.

We're heading to the Brickyard in July, Michigan in August, and maybe Charlotte for our Thanksgiving. I'd love to go back to Talladega this year, but it's quite a long drive for us, so maybe next year.

If anyone wants pictures, let me know!!!

Wendy
