I have heard that a number of diabetics have gone back to using sugar so you would not be alone in that regard.....

Best wishes to you....

I use Splenda in my coffee and tea and sometimes in my baking. Otherwise I use regular sugar. Not sure why I switched and I may go back to regular sugar. I am not cutting sugar as it appears in everything so I am just trying to eat better. I have no issues with sugar substitutes as you would have to consume such a large amount daily to do anything bad to your body.

My personal opinion is that using sugar substitutes is just putting chemicals (aka poison) in our bodies and is better left on the grocery store shelves.

Honey is a natural alternative but should also be used judiciously..... Even better, I avoid (most) foods that needs to be sweetened if I can do so.....

So what do you think of sugar substitutes and how do you cope?
