Yes I have when I have given myself more of the insulin dosage at night before bed then I should and I wake up in the middle of the night with low blood sugar its scary but my diabetes team said to take 4 glucose tablets then check after that in a couple mins and then if its low still have juice or reg pop or sugar water or protein and carb is good or even a glucerna diabetic shake is good to have. It works.

Yes, I have. I was not in a coma, but I do not remember anything that happened until they got my blood sugar up to acceptable range again.

And then the munchies started. I could not stop eating everything and anything in sight, which I later learned is a natural reaction to such episodes....

I live alone and I have been terrified of having another episode when no one is around to help me through it...

While not as common when using oral meds, taking insulin can definitely cause occasional HYPOglycemia.

Have you ever experienced hypoglycemia?
