Any prescription med can be hard on the kidneys so the big pharma are always doing research to find a better way.... Many High Blood Pressure meds have this effect.....

So changing to a med that will not be so hard on the kidneys is definately a good idea. I have actually had that happen to my twice over the years -- a change in medication to one that has less damaging effect on the kidneys.

Hope the new meds will work as they should.....

I haven't been told what it is as we will discuss it at my next visit - and I actually have 2 doctors - they have a private practice attached to a Walmart near my place so I can see either of them. This time it was a female and she was the one who mentioned the medication - I think it can also be used for high blood pressure.

Glad you were able to find a doctor..... Hope you like him. It's always tough going to a new guy. I know.... I have moved often enough that I have had to find new doctors all over BC and Alberta.....

So what is this guy suggesting you take? Don't be afraid to look it up on the internet and check out the pros and cons.....

emoticon for sharing. My new doctor here in Coquitlam is suggesting I go on a new medication to protect my kidneys.

Does anyone have any comments?
