Here the Pigs in a Blanket are actually pork sausages wrapped in pastry and baked. I have never really cared for them -- they always seem too greasy for my liking (even if the sausages have been cooked before wrapping.) How do you make yours?

I have never heard of Saura. How do you make them?

My favorite is "Tator Tot Hotdish"

You just cook up your burger, then add Cream of mushroom soup, and veggies..(corn, green beans..etc) Mix all together, put into your baking dish and top with tator tots.. Cook accordingly to your tator tot cooking instructions. So easy and good! Left overs are just as good!

I enjoy having Roast's as well. Just throw it into my crock pot and add seasonings and let it cook. love them too!

Linda... You mentioned Cabbage rolls... Here in Northern Minnesota we call them Saurma's or Pig in the blanket. lol Their really good!

I don't cook many casseroles as Dh won't eat them, but I do on occasion make a chicken & stuffing & casserole that he will eat.

I love casserole because they are usually one pot meals and easy to clean up after dinner. My favourite one is "Lazy Cabbage Rolls" It has well drained sauerkraut, rice and hamburger, plus anything else I decide to throw in. I mix it all up, put it all in a pot and cover with tomato sauce then bake until heated through (everything is pre cooked before hand)

Another one I really like is made with chopped leftover turkey, peas, rice, and any other veggies hanging around. I make a white sauce, mix it all together and top with a sprinkle of cheese (originally I used breadcrumbs but now I just stick to the cheddar) then bake until heated through.

And who can forget about lasagna? But it is very time consuming and calorie laden (of course I am talking about my own recipe!) so I never make it anymore.... Too much work for the tiny amount I can have.....

Do you eat or even like casserols? If so, what is your favourite?
