Just give it a try and use your imagination. You might surprise yourself. Some of the spices that I add are cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, garlic, mustard. A lot of the time, I add a packet of Splenda to it.

Boy, you would never like salad at my house. I buy Kraft bottled dressing and use either Cesar or Oil and Vinegar. (I know it's not very good for me, but........ I never know what to put into a home made dressing............) I don't like any other label, just the Kraft.....

I do not have a certain recipe that I follow. I always start with some type of vinegar and olive oil then add red pepper and a bunch of other spices that I have read are good for you. Plus, I love to experiment and add different ingredients. This keeps it from getting boring.

What kind of dressings do you make? I have never found a recipe I liked for home made dressing.

The cruet that I make my homemade salad dressings in. After reading the ingredients on all of the bottled ones, I decided to make my own healthier ones. emoticon

I have 3 things I would hate to have to give up.

I love my slow cooker. I put everything in it in the morning and forget about it until dinner time. The drawback is that I smell the food all day long and it makes me hungry, but dinner is ready on time.....

I also love my electric pressure cooker. When I forget to take meat out of the freezer, I can still get a half decent meal on the table a short time. I love that it automatically turns itself off when the timer runs out.....

A recent addition to my kitchen is a Kitchenaid Food Processor. I am in constant pain and find it very difficult standing at the sink or counter to chop veggies, (carrots, celery, onions, etc) or even grate cheese, etc, so now I can do up big batches in a fraction of the time, and put in the fridge. Then all I need to do is take out the amount I need from each container.

What is your favourite tool, small electrical appliance or gadget in your kitchen?

How do you use it to keep on track with your diabetic meal plan?
