Remember the protein counter on the tracker is WAY off for people who do not eat meat... it suggests you eat way too much protein... a woman only needs about 40 grams of protein a day even when you are trying to gain muscle or work out or are a distance runner...
So if you eat the right amount of calories from whole healthy foods...(not a junk food diet) you are eating enough protein.. That is because all beans, whole grains and even vegetables have protein in them in ample amounts...

Hello and welcome back , I lost 56 lb by following the 5:2 diet and what is more I feel amazing at 76 , even better than I did at 26 !!!! I juice a lot and grow a lot f sprouted seeds to add to my Vegan diet . There is protein in everything so I do not feel lacking in anything and my last blood works results came back perfect. I make my own soy milk and tofu and also almond milk , rice milk , coconut milk , hemp milk and oat milk !!! I like to ring the changes and enjoy making "Mylk " from whatever I have to hand ., so that I can knock up a green smoothie whenever I want to.

I'm 39 and have been vegetarian for 10 years. I love cooking, I'm recovering from a laproscopy so trying to be as healthy as possible. I want to not just lose some weight but have more energy and feel healthier. I've tried sparkpeople before but now really want to make a go of it to really see and feel the benefits. I've been back for 1 week, doing yoga every day and inputting all my food, which makes me realise how lacking in protein and vegetables I was even though I thought myself pretty healthy. Even after a week, I feel I have so much more energy even though I haven't lost much weight but I see this as a lifestyle change. Hopefully I will go to a healthy BMI in a few weeks, I know from past experience that it takes about a month for me to lose weight. Here's to feeling amazing!!!
