I know how you feel. I replace sweets with fruits.

Welcome to the Team!

I agree with SweetMagnolia on trying healthier ways to deal with sugar cravings. It really works for me. Another thing I do is just try not to focus on things I "can't" or "shouldn't" be eating. Instead, I focus on all the things I CAN and should eat and up my quota of those, like fruits and veggies and whole grains. Soon, you'll forget all about sugary stuff. :-)

Eating more fresh and dried fruit has really helped keep my sweet tooth at bay the last couple months. Even my kids are benefiting. I keep a bowl of fresh fruit on the dining table and every day I refill it.

My name is Angel, I'm 28 and became a ovo-lacto vegetarian for ethical and health reasons. My first time going vegetarian was when I was 12, and my parents were not supportive. They basically fed me the sides of canned green beans, biscuits, and overprocessed food like mac and cheese and I got sick all of the time. I associated vegetarianism with being malnourished until I had a veggie roommate who introduced me to the world of vegetarian cooking and I've never gone back.

I absolutely love cooking and eat rather healthfully, but my sweet tooth gets me in big trouble. Any ideas on how to deal with intense sugar cravings?

Also, I love to trade recipes, since I cook almost all my meals at home!

Glad to meet you all!
