Welcome Roszette! I have 28 more to lose myself, and my progress has been very slow, with weeks of stalling. But because I'm logging in everything I eat on the Nutrition Tracker, I know I'm eating as I should. I did lower the protein minimum after reading in the China Study and elsewhere that we eat way too much protein to our peril, and that seemed to help. Just log it in, learn and keep on keeping on. When you have only 30 to lose it comes off slower. Having been a crash dieter ((Atkins, Gray Sheet, etc) all my adult life, this steady and consistent approach is the most sensible thing I can do for myself. My instincts were always skewed. Please stay close and let us know how we can help!

Congratulations on your weight loss so far! You must add cardio to your workout routine as well. Try walking a half hour everyday. It easiest and you can work your way up to more intense walking as you get used to it. The Nutrition Tracker is the most important tool on here. It gives you the proper ratio of carbohydrates, fat and protein you need to properly fuel your metabolism. With your daughter's allergies, it may be difficult to meet your protein requirement, so you may need to look at soy milk, supplements and eating lots of lentils. I wish you all the best on getting to your goal.

I am a single parent of a daughter who is allergic to wheat, eggs, dairy,and peanuts; so vegetarianism for me is a permanent lifestyle choice. I've recently lost 30 pounds; but I need to lose 68 more. Any advice and support you could give me would be appreciated. I weigh 218 and do weighttraining 3x a week. No new weight loss to report in the past 2 weeks. emoticon emoticon emoticon
