Hey Everyone!
My name is Casey. I'm a Whovian and a bit of a gamer. I am a coffee fanatic, I love alternative music and my Boston Terrier Karly. I am back at the weight loss and health thing for the last time. This time I'm making it a life style change. No excuses. I'm always looking for more friends and buddies to help keep me accountable.

QuestingKate: The Chaosium website has some good one-off's to download for free on their website. The rulebook has some classics as well, but then you run the risk of one of your players having already read through it.

I loved Ready Player One :) Much fun!

Brody, I've never heard of the Laundry...? I'm very new to the world of Lovecraft and his mythos. Just starting to get in to it - haven't even ready any of his books! For shame, I know. But, my book club was open to me picking one of his stories for my month ;-) So, someone shared with me that all his works are now free online since they're public domain. Woohoo! But, have only played a few games - mostly one-offs. We started King in Yellow, but never finished because our GM left. We also did something with Pinkertons? Wild West? haha! Not sure what it was called. I could use a good one-off to try to run - something simple for a newbie leader :)

I didn't like Armada as much as I liked Ready Player One, but it was still a good read. It reminded me a bit of the movie The Last Starfighter. He still references a lot of retro stuff in the book though. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Steven Spielberg does with the movie version of Ready Player One.

Thanks for the welcome!

Scully, how was Armada? I loved Ready Player One. I've stolen a couple of things from it for my G.U.R.P.S. cyber-punk game. Between Disney Infinity and amiibo's I'm trying to resist the siren's call of Lego Dimensions but I'm sure between my kids and I we'll end up caving.

QuestingKate; I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. I plan on working some Lovecraftian elements as well as a side trip into Ravenloft with my 3.5 edition game. AS for Cthulhu games, have you tried the Laundry at all? It's based on the Charles Stross series. It's Delta Green if it was run by the Ministry of Silly Walks. Fighting the Old Ones while trying to maintain your ISO 9000 certification.

Welcome to the team!! Yes, like Kashii said, it's been a bit quiet around here.

I'm trying to find a decent sci-fi book to read (I just got done with Ernest Cline's second book Armada) and not really sure what I want to read next.

I LOVED the Silent Hill games! They scared the crap outta me, but that's what I liked about them. My husband and I just bought the Lego Dimensions game (yes, we are both in our 40s and we are playing a Lego game) :) So far it's pretty cool, and challenging at times. We are really looking forward to the Doctor Who set that goes with the game (the guy at Target says it comes out in a week or so).

Welcome!!!

Hi Brody! Welcome to the team :) It's been bit quieter lately, but maybe you can stir things up.

I haven't head of GURPS before, but cyber punk sounds pretty cool! I have Snow Crash on my To Read list - my dad keeps telling me I'd love it. Reading Cryptonomicon right now, with Cloud Atlas next in line, followed by some HP Lovecraft - so, someday, I'll get to Snow Crash :)

I love dnd but have pretty much only played games run by my dad while I was growing up, those, he's trying to rekindle the game via Roll20.net - we're working on smoothing it out. But it's a pretty cool site if you're looking for players, and can't find any in your area. A bit of a learning curve, but seems a lot of fun once you get the kinks worked out. Also love playing Cthulhu rpgs - usually one-offs are my favorites. There's a group of four of us, and none of us have ever lead before (our GM is not longer around the area), so we are going to start taking turns trying to lead! I'm nervous for my time, but excited :)

Welcome to the team!

I'm a 41 year old man from Minnesota. Happily married with two adult step-daughters and three young children; a 9 year old son and two daughters that are 7 and 5.

I am of course into sci-fi and fantasy as well as horror. I love to read, watch movies and television shows mainly in those genres. As you can imagine, I love Game of Thrones, the Walking Dead, the Lord of the Rings, etc., etc. When I'm on the treadmill I watch Dark Shadows. When I'm at my son's tae kwon do class I'm reading the Jennifer Morgue, but I'll be switching to Snow Crash when I finish that.

I'm currently G.M.'ing a G.U.R.P.S. cyber-punk game, I just started D.M.'ing a 3.5 edition Dungeons and Dragons game for some friends at work and I've introduced my youngsters to DnD and I'm guiding them through a 5th ed. campaign. I would LOVE to run a Horror on the Orient Express campaign, but I can't find anybody around here to play it with me.

I'm into video games as well. I love the Fable series, the Elder Scrolls, and I can't wait for Fallout 4. I'm also a huge fan of the first and second Silent Hill, Resident Evil 1 through 4, and don't even get me started on Fatal Frame for the first Xbox!

So, yeah. Hello!
