Hello all! I am JJ from VA... I have lost over 85 lbs in the past year and a half but due to a long and frustrating stall in my weight loss I gave up and gained back about 12 lbs over the last 3 months. SO... hitting the restart button here and back on Spark cause I know tracking what I eat is essential for me.

I am a geek girl mostly through what I read (Sci Fi, Fantasy, Erotica... often combined!! WhooHoo!). I have been in school getting my Bachelor's and Master's on and off for the last 10 years, so Video Games unfortunately went away... cause they were SUCH a huge time suck for me. I am also a costumer doing cosplay, Renn Fair, and SteamPunk stuff. I am proud wife to a HUGE geek, and proud Mom to a 5yr old Geek in training (already planning to take over the world and practicing his evil laugh and cape swish) and a 19yr old "Nerdigay" (Nerdy Gay Boy... we had to look it up!!)! Glad to sit in where I fit in!

Hello! Nice to meet you, and here's to finding and keeping motivation! I know, I've used SP successfully before, and, for me, I found that I got tired of keeping up with logging food and exercise. But, without logging, I'm not successful, lol. I'm hoping the mobile app and the activity tracker help me with that.

Welcome Kelly. I love your profile pic and username. I wonder what motivated you the first time you were successful with SparkPeople and what changed that made it wear off. For me, since ALL of the women on my mom's side of the family are overweight to obese, I really believed I was just genetically destined to get heavy as I got older. Then my husband lost 60 pounds in half a year by making some simple, permanent lifestyle changes and I said, "Oh! That's how it works!" Best wishes with your journey.

Hello! My name is Kelly and I am from South Carolina but currently in Missouri. I am so glad to have found a group that embraces being a geek. My husband and I are both avid gamers and love Dungeons and Dragons. We have 6 children between the 2 of us and met about 8 years ago on a little game called City of Heroes.

I have tried SparkPeople before and it does work, I just have a hard time staying motivated. I am currently 300 lbs and am scared that if I don't lose it soon, I may not be around for my kids. If only exercise was as fun for me as video games.

Anywho, that is me in a nutshell. I look forward to chatting with you all and losing weight together.
