Hi Cary :)

Yeah for you getting down to 270 from 310! WOW!!!! Bummed to learn about your battle w/cancer :-(

Luck is a funny thing. From one view you are very unlucky to be one of the few Americans with this rare disease. But on another, you may indeed be lucky and with the help and support of friends, family, Spark People and a positive attitude (though you may lean to the sarcastic/dark humor side) you'll be lucky enough to improve your health, achieve your goals and enjoy life more!

Welcome to the team! :-)

CHANGE: Dont just talk about it, go out there and do it.
Dont just meditate about it, go out there and create it.
Dont just pray about it, go out there and take action;
participate in the answering of your own prayer.
If you want change, get out there and live it."

Welcome to the team, we're glad you're here! Perhaps there's a team on SP for Myeloma?

I have Multiply Myeloma which is a blood cancer. I never realized that there were so many types of cancer in the world and I had to find a rare one. I have been over weight for 30 years at one time I was 310 lbs now I am 270 I have been trying to loose for 20 years and the most I have loss is 80 lbs but gained most back. I have stayed at or around 265 until I found out about the cancer. I have not loss weight with chemo like everyone said I would. It seem to be the best way to loose at first thought. Nonetheless this too will pass. I am determind to let go of the body fat and water retention that I have and live a full and productive life. I would love any suggestions on how I can eat my way to good health and beat the non curable cancer I have. Only 20,000 people in America are found to have this cancer. Aren't I lucky.
