Hello! I just joined today and saw your message about running the 5K. I don't know how much this advice will help but the way I ran my first race was on a lovely piece of advice from a friend. She told me that when training for distance if you can't hold a conversation while running then you are running too fast. It took me a few months to be able to work up to the mileage while talking to a running buddy but it sure did make the training a lot more fun.

Hi Kim! I just started graduate school two weeks ago and already I'm tired. I'm also trying to find ways to fit exercise into an already tightly packed schedule. The C25K program is great. I used it last year (on a different SP account) to get ready for a Color Run. Also, what kind of yoga exercises do you do? I'm just getting back into yoga after a long hiatus and I'm trying to figure out ways to change up my workout so that it's challenging, but not so challenging that I won't actually do it.

Hi everyone, my name is Kim and I'm in the second half of my LPC (Counseling) program. Thanks to the high demands of grad school, I now find myself exhausted on the couch and doing yoga once a week. I'm wanting to train for a 5K and the Couch to 5K is a great program, I'm just lacking motivation and time. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated!
