Wow! Congratulations! You really are doing awesome with your schooling and what you are studying sounds very interesting indeed. I am getting my Masters in Education in TESOL and this semester has been very rough. I have found that I have to work 7 days a week just to stay afloat. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not.

The eating healthy has been hard. I'm pretty good most days. The exercise -- I push myself to go at least 2x a week (I'm up early with my son so I go right after I put him on the bus), 3x if I can manage. I have found that if I don't go I turn into too much of a mush ball. I think it makes me think clearer and feel better so it more than justifies itself. Even if you only put in a half hour every now and then but you do it regularly that will be fine. I found the extra weight and lack of exercise made my schooling harder, so eating better and exercising more than paid off in the end!

Hi! I just started my PhD (quals this summer!) in archaeology. I already have my BS and MA in anthropology.

I'm trying to lose about 60lbs - for personal reasons, but also because I'm going to need to be fairly in-shape when I'm digging in the field.

My biggest problem with this weight loss so far has been because of my school schedule - does anyone else have trouble "justifying" time at the gym when you have papers/grading to do?
