Hey there! That's great you are going back to school and for statistics! Sounds challenging to me. I am working on my MA in clinical psychology and in summer 2009 I will have to take a stats class which will probably be my least favorite.

I am working full time and I guess considered to be going to school part time. I have classes one at a time, once a week, for 8 weeks. It's an accelerated program which I really like. I can't really think of any advice. I always try to tell myself to get my homework done soon as I get it, but I don't usually follow that.

Try not to be too nervous - I'm sure you'll be fine! I was super nervous when I started too. I am still trying to build up the confidence and so far I am doing well in my program which helps a lot.

Hi! I've been using SparkPeople for a while, but am loosing slowly (I'm just now getting into the spirit of compliance with silly things like exercise plans and calorie limits). In January, I start an online MS in Statistics program - I had intended to be working while I did it, but my job was making me a stress monkey. With the DH's blessing, I quit about a month ago and started looking for more work that is more directly related to the degree. (Super fun times in a recession) So now I'm unemployed and overweight - ack! I can't wait for school to start.

Are there any other grad students on this list working and going to school part-time? Care to give me any advice before I jump in? I'm nervous about going back to school - got my undergrad in engineering in 2003.

Good luck to all the other loosers out there!!
