I'm trying not to let my butt get glued to my chair! It's bad when I'm working all day and studying all evening. But ...but....it's getting warm outside..woohoo

Garfield makes me smile.

I also have trouble making it to the gym. My solution is to find ways to exercise at home, because it makes me much more likely to actually do it. We bought an exercise bike that I use for cardio, and some small weights I use for strength training. good luck!

Hi! I understand how you feel. I work f/t and am in a masters program for education administration. My schedule is tight as well. I have a 40 minute commute each way, work 8:15 - 3:15, come home only to either do school work (grade papers, create tests, do lesson plans, and all the other stuff that goes along with being a teacher), class work - reading, writing, etc....), take care of my dog and my laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, blah blah blah. I felt like I just did NOT have the time. I made an executive decision - just DO it! It if makes me have to stay up an extra half our or get up a half hour early or whatever, I just need to do it for myself. I graduated w/ my first masters degree in May, then began my second (why, oh why????) in August, so for the past several years I just kept telling myself I was too busy. It sounds like a legit excuse, but it's just that - an excuse! What has really helped me is number 1 - Sparkpeople! Number 2 - buying the turbo jam videos. I don't have to leave the house and my workouts get done quicker. Now I do turbo jam and make it a point to go to the gym. Number 3 - I also have a friend who meets me at the gym, and finally number 4 - I signed up for the Shamrock Shuffle 8K on March 30th. I need to go to the gym to make sure I can run the 8K. Just more motivation. I wish you luck. Whatever you do - stick with Sparkpeople! The people here are amazing and motivational!

Just wanted to quickly say hi and introduce myself. I'm working on my doctorate in clinical psychology. While grad school makes losing those last 15 pounds difficult, I am sure I can do it. My biggest barier right now is getting to the gym since my schedule is packed tight. Has anyone found a good way around this?
