Welcome! Your agency sounds a lot like ours, too. However, I'm the only full time corrections officer. The rest of the shifts have to pull double duty by themselves. I only moved to day shift last September. But I sure did adjust fast!!

emoticon KIDDEN04 ... emoticon !

The center you work in sounds much like the one I worked in ... we dispatched for the police department in our city and all the other police departments in the county as well as the sheriff's deputies and all the fire and ambulance services, both volunteer and full time. I loved my job too, but after 10 years of rotating shifts the department decided we should be assigned to permanent shifts and stop rotating. I ended up on the afternoon shift, working 3 - 11 of 4 - midnight, depending on the day. After four years of afternoons I left the PD to reclaim my family life. I decided to become a full time volunteer, working with the Red Cross and the Boy Scouts. I love having my family time back!
