Hello everyone!
I am a 32 year old single parent to a 3 year old little boy. We live western Michigan. I have been on Sparkpeople for a couple years now, but just recently made the decision to get serious about getting healthy. As a single parent it's hard to find time to be active. I have made a vow to log what I eat on Sparkpeople every day, maintain about 1500 calories a day, and get as much physical activity in as possible. I started off walking on my lunch breaks at work (weather permitting). I walk a little under a mile in just under 20 minutes. Also, I have been going to the gym 2-3 days a week for 40-120 mins. On my days off work (when I am not getting in my 20 min walks) I take my son for walks, pulling him in the wagon or pushing in the stroller (he's a big kid, approx 45 lbs!) I am weighing in every Monday morning, and write in my Sparkpeople blog frequently. I don't spend much time in the message boards, but am looking to make some new friends and be able to support someone else in their weight loss journey. Please add me as a friend!
